WEEKEND OF SOCIAL DISTANCING – Doing nothing but cleaning, making pancakes and chicken risotto

Watch how my fiancé and I live during the reality of social distancing in Sydney 2020. Social distancing is now the current policy adopted here in Australia as we live through the coronavirus COVID 19 outbreak.

In this video, we’re entirely at home as I take you through my current cleaning practices and my favourite cleaning products. Apart from the regularly washing my hands and using hand sanitizer, I’ve also began to liberally use anti bacterial spray everywhere! I’ve always been a big fan of Euky Bearub for flu season but it’s something I use all the time now. Plus, the spray is amazing and I definitely recommend that to help with congestion.

My fiancé makes us thick pancakes for breakfast as I think deep about our relationship, we settle in to watch Bravo TV’s newest reality show Family Karma, then my fiancé makes us chicken and risotto. On Netflix right now we’re streaming On My Block. If you have a recommendation to watch, please let us know! It’s another calming day in the life videos, but I definitely wanted to make a video that captures this very uncertain time living in Sydney right now. It’s definitely a harrowing time living with the coronavirus outbreak.

It’s definitely a slow video, but I wanted to keep it that way. I’ve held shots for a long time, slowed the pacing of the edit and chosen sparse piano tracks. It’s calming and peaceful but that’s really how our Sunday played out being essentially in self-quarantine at home away from our regular routine of going out, meeting friends and family and socialising. The pace of life just being at home is a lot more chill and that’s kind of the vibe I wanted to create with this vlog entry. The day passes by so quickly, and yet so slowly at the same time. My fiancé and I are of course very fortunate to be in this situation to be able to do this and that we’re in good health…our priority is absolutely to keep isolated and adhere to our government’s social distancing policy, plus I guess we also want to adhere to our greater social obligation in doing our part of containing this disease and minimising any spread.
