hello hello everybody and today I’mtrying a kind of slightly differentvideo type what I mean not really stillit’s gonna be me talking at you becausethat’s all I can really produce at themoment but I want to kind of do a Idon’t want to call it a round I’m goingto call it place the cake waffles on Ilike that I mean that’s what we’re gonnado and the first one I’m gonna do isabout sport and it is mainly based onsomething I saw on my walk to the shoptoday so if this sounds interesting toyou stay tuned we’ll be back all rightso sport sport to me is and we’retalking professional sport liketelevised sport and I’m fiddling withthings already stop it and sport as anactivity as something you do sociallyfor exercise whatever the reasons if youactually personally do it be a footballrugby hockey cycling whatever the sportis whether it’s competitive or literallyjust you know mucking around yourfriends to me that is great we’re asport and in this case we’re both realand eSports I just offended a hugeamount of people by saying eSportsaren’t real but I think you get my pointand II I think it becomes ludicroushonestly I think professional sports areridiculousmainly because of the amount of moneythat goes into it that could go tobetter things and of course the weirdthing is the amount of money that goesinto both football English footballand/or soccer and American football isthat most of these clubs who make allthis money make no profit they arereally really bad business models butthat’s not the waffle I want to get onright about now I think sports shouldchange I think sports should change tobe a retirement only endeavor and I’mgoing to explain my reasons and againthis comes back to something I saw on mywalk to the shop today and let’s startwith that story so what I was walking tothe shop one of the roads I have to walkalong is a fairlyon rote and all I could see from when Istarted walking down it was comingtoward me was two old blokes on bikesand I don’t have to have a friend ifthey were doing it together or whateverbut clearly this cycle must happenfairly often and there’s a competitiveedge which has developed between themand it was it was fantastic so this isone old guy riding along and then all ofa sudden the guy behind just forwhatever reason I have no idea whateverwhat the reason was he starts to put allthis effort in like he goes from youknow just nice out and about cycling youknow you’re you’re keeping the bikegoing you got nice posture trying toheat you back straight so all of asudden he you know he’s about as up ashis seat is he could probably make ithe’s bumping his legs he’s really goingfor it and just this look ofdetermination and the guy in front hadno idea what was going on behind himand then the guy behind I’m gonna callhim Halbertovertook the guy in front now I’m gonnacall Edwardso Albert overtook Edward and the lookof joy on Albert’s face was incrediblelike I don’t know I think I witnessedthe end of what was probably a decadelong story of Albert always losing toEdwardbut anyway Albert takes a lead and alook of joy and his face was infectiousI’m walking along and they’re stillfairly distant from me but I can see theface is quite clearly and that look ofjoy on his face made me smile like itwas it was a genuine smile from me andthen I saw Edward behind a look of painon his face I just pure pain and angerand disgust and suddenly he used thisthis new this newfound anger thisnewfound power and he started pumpinghis legs he’s really going for it and heovertakes Albert and again there’s alook of joy and a look at discussed youknow roles reversed and in about I don’tknow a stretch of I don’t know probablya minute it took for us to kind of catchup and then they were behind me so I canno longer see what was going on and thiskind of first second Monica changedplaces a good ten times and it wasexciting like it’s two old blokes ridingbikes but it’s constant change right nowcompare that to say the Tour de Francewhich is probably still the biggestcycling race in the worldwherefor most of the race there will be a guyin front and the pack will be behind nowyou may get jostling in the middle andround the back but right at the frontyou don’t get a huge amount of jostlingin these races normally someone justgoes out so far ahead that they’re aheadas a pack they’re gonna win you mightget the occasional pass but normally ifsomebody passes they pass and they justcontinue going and the person they passjust kind of settles in alright I maytry and do a big push in say a couple ofhours but until then we’re just gonnastay where we are that is boring that isdull right for me anyway whereas thesetwo old men managed to do the kind offirst second thing a good you know tentimes in the space of a minute that Iwould watch the constant jostling forposition that’s what I want to see Isaid let’s talk about I don’t know butlike what other sports could we just putold retired people into and to see ifthey would become more fun withoutgetting to aegis because my mindautomatically went to Zimmer framemarathons but that’s not the pointI’m trying to make here the point I’mtrying to make is that you know maybeit’s not just because it’s because it’snot just old people so like when you goand see amateur sports yeah you know soyou can support your friends and onSunday the local football club orwhatever the games are vastly differentthere’s normally it so I’m talking aboutsoccer English football there’s normallya ton more goals and goals are theexciting part of football if there’s nogoals it’s boring and let’s be honestand there’s a reason why most peopledrink while watching sports it’s becausesports are boring and I may have justblown your mind and blown a hole in thealcoholism but it doesn’t matter andthere’s a lot more running there’s a lotmore passing and there’s a lot morepeople trying as soon as you go theprofessional route so in the amateurleague I guess they want to win but theyalso just want to have fun so they’rewilling to take more risks it’s allabout fun there’s no big money on theline there’s no contracts on the lineyou know if you lose you lose if you winyou win winning feels good as long asyou try hard losing doesn’t feel too badas soon as you cross the line into willpay you money if you start to win sportloses its soul as far as I’m concernedbecause the only thing you’re chasingthen is is the win and again I’m goingto talk about English football um andeven cycling in an f1 to a certaindegree um which are the main sports Iwatch um when I say what I mean havethem on in the background when I’mscrubbing the toilet because scrubbingthe toilet is immensely more pleasurablethan watching sports um everybodybecomes very very defensive andwhen you’re defensive you’re not havingfun and I think that is the key tosports in general right is you shouldalways put a hundred and 100% hundredten percent I hate them expression youshould always put a hundred percent intowhat you’re doing and the main point ofall of these things is that you shouldhave fun even if you have a horrendousdefeat you know you come you comeagainst the team who were just immenselybetter than you you know let’s say amature an athletics 101 takes on I don’tknow who’s a big English football teamat the moment Arsenal Manchester UnitedManchester City I don’t know who’swinningGod made Liverpool I don’t know scan forI honestly don’t know anyway M justnaming various English towns M DowntonAbbey the Downton Abbey football teamthat I would watch didn’t lie DowntonAbbey don’t really like English footballput the two together I think we’re ontoa winner anyway what was there talkingabout yes so even as an amateur team ifyou go and take on someone likeLiverpool you know you’re gonna get yourass kicked right especially if Liverpoolput in 110 percent and weirdly they’remore likely to do it now sometimes inthe professional stuff you will get youknow a high ranked team against a lowranked team they’ll either put out akind of B team or they would tell the ateam look don’t risk yourself you can’trisk injury because we need you for thebig game and that again kind of loses itwhich is a shame but like you could godown a hundred goals against Liverpoolbeing in an amateur athletic one and oneand I think you would still have had ablast right you would just rememberthose times oh oh I tackled big footballstar number one or all do you rememberwhen we got that shot off an enormouswent in you know and even if you justget the one goal it could be a hundredto one if he getting out one goal inthat’s what you’re gonna remember thatthat’s the fun you had and that’s thekind of fun I wish sport was just purejoyand now obviously I’m more of a computergame fan and now obviously eSports aregrowing in popularity and not even notpopularity well yeah popularity as wellbut also commercialism which is the thebig issue here and professionalism ifyou like whereas there’s now big moneyon eSports and what you’re seeing happento eSports is they are becoming dullthey are becoming dull to watch andcommentators who are one of my biggestbugbears of sports because if somethingis fun to watch you shouldn’t needsomebody commentating on it you know itgoes back to the old radio days whereyou could understand where you neededcommentators and if commentators wereoptional in the broadcast which largelythey aren’t you know you either have toturn all sound off you can’t just turnthe commentators off which is how Iwould prefer to watch these things andI’m getting way I believe they’re calledshouters or casters I don’t know whatthey’re called now but we know we callthem commentators because they’recommentating and what’s going on ifyou’re shouting what’s going on quietthe down anyway what you’re seeingin these in these in these eSports gamesis people do not play how they want toplay they play to win and as soon asyou’ve decided you want to play to winand that’s your only goal yes everybodyplays to win even when you go do let’stalk over what even when you do quickplay missed your heroes whatever it isof course you want to win and a run ofdefeats is soul-crushing especially ifthey’re bad but here comes the thing andhere comes the main thing I want topoint out when you’re playing overwatchhow many times when you’ve been playingoverwatch missed your heroes quick playwhatever it is and you lose point a oreven worse you know you might have areal struggle getting out of your spawnpoint because you know the playercomposition and then you see peopleleaving people on your team becauseyou’re losing that they’re leavingthey’re donehow sad is that because the games Iremember most in my overwatch playsessions or any of them you know battlereals whatever they are the games Iremember the most other ones where I wasgetting my ass kicked or the team wasgetting their ass kicked and somehow wemanaged to turn it around maybe not evento a win but we somehow managed to dosomething you know what I mean like youyou’ve you’ve had soul-crushing defenseyou’re trying to defend the payloadwhatever it is and they’ve pushed youall the way to the final point of in thefirst 30 seconds I don’t know I thinkthat’s probably impossible but you knowthe point I’m trying to make but thensomehow you managed to hold it twoinches off the last point for a solidtwo minutes right that feels good okaythey still managed to get the wings theyhad six minutes on the clock and youknow the game was against you but youput up a solid defense for a good twominutesthat feels good that’s the good times insports if all you care about is the winyou’ve lost it it’s already gone you’renot playing the game for fun you’re notplaying it for enjoyment and okaythere’s always a difference whensomething comes from being a hobbypastime to becoming a career there’salways that kind of the differencebecause you gotta get paid you’ve got topay them bills and they see how anywayyou make money so you have to have acertain attitude adjustment or do you oris the real point is the reason whyyou’re getting paid to do it is becauseyou were having fun and you were good sowhy can’t that just be what goes intothe professional arena rightI honestly believe more people wouldwatch eSports sports in general ifpeople just played it for fun and youcan actually see like when you watchthese these overwatch leagues right howmany people are laughing or chatting orhaving just a good time at the plays orhave smiles on their faces when they’replaying this game or do they all looklike they’re looking at really boringour spreadsheets on a nine-to-five job Idon’t want to see someone looking boredout of their mindwhile they’re clicking a game and thenyou know only cheering if they manage toget the win where’s the cheer with theManistee know to do something that theywere finding hard to do that it just itjust doesn’t happen and it’s such ashame and but anyway am I suggesting oldpeople should do all sports and eSportsyes yes I am that’s my retirement planmaybe anyway that was a waffle thesevideos have no point I’m just gonna gooff on tangents you like him or youdon’t is all I can say about this kindof police’ cake waffles on if youenjoyedthank you if you didn’t I’m sorry and Iwill probably hopefully see you againand the next one bye for now
