Thanksgiving is right around the corner.Yes it is.And of course that means you have to feedextra house guests all season long.Like, people only think about the big meals.They do.This is my friend Jeanette from our Culinary team.Jeanette everybody. Everybody Jeanette.(audience cheering and clapping)So, you know, around the holidayspeople come and go for big long weekends.They do, they stay.Or huge chunks of time.They stay.So today we are working with the Nutella brand,and we love Nutella,

New?

You.Holiday tradition that your familywill cherish and pass down.
(audience clapping)(Jeanette laughing)So, guess what we are making today?We are making Overnight Pumpkin Spice Waffles.Overnight Pumpkin Spice Waffles!So, ya.(audience cheering)Like what you said,’cause all you’re going to be doingfor the rest of the day is cooking right?So, what can you get done the day before Thanksgivingthat will feed those hungry mouths the next morning?So, we came up with a really fun recipe.So, this is just two cups of all purpose flour.We’re gona add a little bit of sugar.Little bit of salt.You’re a little bit of sugarAw, thank you.and a little bit of salt.(Janette chuckling)Some pumpkin spice.And, this is instant yeast.So we’re gona see that rise overnight in the fridge.We’re gona add a little bit of melted butter.And then some warm water to get that yeast going.And then that is all you have to do.You have to activate your yeast.That’s it, exactly.So this is all your doing on Thanksgiving eve.This is it.Gotcha.You put plastic wrap over it.Okay.You’re gona pop it in the refrigerator.I’ve got one right here.Oh good, I don’t have to do that.Ya, you’re good, you’re done.(audience laughing)So, and you can see that the yeast worked.It rose.Look, it grows.
It grows, exactly.(audience cheering)And that’ll make your waffles nice and airyand very delicious.So now it’s Thanksgiving.Fast forward, Happy Thanksgiving.Tada!
Tada! Happy Thanksgiving.And we’re just gona add a little bit of milk.And we’re gona add some, two eggs.We’re gona add eggs to that.And then you’re just gona mix that in.I’m gona brush the inside of our waffle ironwith a little bit of butter because as we knowthat just makes waffles delicious.Butter makes everything betterAnd lovely. So, okay.So now we can ladle.That looks wonderful.We’re just gona ladle some of that in.I’m still incorporating.
Incorporating.I’m still incorporating.It’s too much pressure!(audience laughing)We do have some done ones down here,if you’d like?Let’s just ladle some of this in.That looks fantastic.There we go.(audience laughing)Well, let me. You don’t trust me?Go ahead. Go ahead.Oh, I trust you.I trust you with the waffle iron.We’ve done many things in the waffle iron.I trust you around a waffle iron.We have done a lot with the waffle iron.We have done many many things.We’ve made cornbread, focaccia, pizzasWe have. Yes, we have.So, we-Left over Thanksgiving stuffing,we’ve thrown into the waffle iron.Oh, that is a great waffle.That’s probably my favorite.Corn dogs in the waffle iron.We’ve made them all.So then -Well we all get three of themwhen we get married right?(audience laughing)I know, I think I do have two waffle irons.So then these just cook until they’re nice and golden.Oh those look great.And crispy.Forget that, bail on that.Look at that. Do you smell them?They just, it just smells like the perfectThanksgiving candle right?So then, I know they’re quite delicious(Jeanette laughing)They are really good.That’s very good.Right? And so, this recipe is perfect for today.And it’s also perfect for all fall and winter long.So, I’m -And once they’re cooked,can’t you freeze them and put them in the toaster?Absolutely.I do that all the time for quick and easy breakfast.Yum!So now I’m gona spread my Nutella Hazelnut spread.And, when I’m spreading it I like to go corner to corner.Oh god we got it. Wait.We gotta give some to Joey.(Jeanette laughing)’Cause it’s fresh and hot.(audience clapping)Look. I’m pouring, look. I’m buttering the bottom.(Janette laughing)Look, Joey’s gona pass out.He’s right there, I know.Can I have some of the Nutella?(audience cheering)Let’s give him one of these.No, this is is hot!(audience clapping)Joey?Yes?It’s hot.Oh my god.Wait, stand back. His head is gona explode.(audience cheering and clapping)These are beautiful.And here they are.Yours look much nicer than mine.(Jeanette laughing)(audience cheering and clapping)(tinkling of chimes)
