Ingredients:
1 cup of all purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 large egg
2 tablespoons of melted butter
3/4 cup of whole milk
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
heart shaped cookie cutters
pink food coloring

Instructions:
1. Turn on waffle maker.
2. In stand mixer or bowl using hand mixer add dry ingredients which are flour, sugar, baking powder and sea salt and mix.
3. In a separate bowl add the wet ingredients; egg, melted butter, milk and maple syrup and whisk well.
4. Pour the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients mix with spatula and then whisk with stand mixer until all clumps are gone. Stop mixer, Add a few drops of pink food coloring and mix all well together.
5. I like to give it all one more mix before I pour batter into waffle maker.
6. Pour into waffle maker. Depending on your waffle maker it should be done within about a minute or two.
7. Sprinkle some powdered sugar, fresh fruit, chocolate chip or whatever you’d like and ENJOY 🙂

[Music]hey guys welcome back to vanquishcooking with Rihanna today we will bemaking heart-shaped waffles in honor ofValentine’s Day this Friday now this isjust a fun easy festive recipe to makefor your loved ones the kids will loveithopefully the husband loves it but let’sget started this recipe will have 1 cupof all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon ofwhite sugar half a teaspoon of sea salt2 teaspoons of baking powderfew drops of pink food coloring 1 egg 2tablespoons of melted butter 3/4 cup ofmilk and 1 teaspoon of pure maple syrupwe’ll also be using a heart-shapedcookie cutter and then I’m using a standmixer you may use an electrical one andthen we have here a waffle iron mine’s alittle bit old as I’ve had this for manyyears but it still works and it is stillholding up if you have a heart-shapedone even better but we’ll be using thisone and then we’ll just turn it on thatway we can get a head start on itpreheating the stand mixer we’ll beadding all the dry ingredients which arethe flour sugar sea salt and bakingpowder and we will be whisking all thedry ingredients until they are all mixedyouso I like to stop mind in the middle ofwhisking and just kind of give it alittle shake that way I’m able to geteverything because some of theingredients get stuck at the weighbottom and the whisk doesn’t reach allthe way down therein a separate medium-sized bowl we’ll beadding all the wet ingredients to mixwhich are the 3/4 cup of whole milk 1whole egg 2 tablespoons of melted butterand then the 1 teaspoon of pure maplesyrup now you may use vanilla extractinstead of the maple syrup I prefer themaple syrup because I like the taste ofit so whichever you prefer and we’rejust giving it gonna give it a good mixand I know my bowl is sliding all overthe place but I could only use one handso it is what it isso here in the stand mixer we are justgoing to add the wet ingredients to thedry ingredientsand then we’ll give it a good mix withthe spatula that way all the dryingredients are kind of mixed in therebefore we whisk itnow we will just whisk on high until weget all those clumps outI also like to stop in the middle ofmixing and just scrape all the sidesbecause sometimes like I said the mixerdoesn’t get everything it doesn’t get atthe way bottom and on the sides and thenwe’ll be adding a few drops of the pinkfood coloring and then we’ll just mixagain until it is all combinedyouso here I like to scrape all the sidesand just mix again because as you cansee you can see the food coloring andsome of the other batter didn’t mix allthe way and then will come out with thispretty pink batter now my waffles didn’tcome out pink on the outside cuz thewaffle iron kind of just burnt it alittle bit but the inside will be pinkwhich is fun for kids they think it’spretty cool so if you’re able to getyour waffle to look pink on the outsidelet me know how you did it because Iwant to know I don’t know if it’s justmy waffle iron or what I’m doing wrongjust let me know below in the commentswe will just pour the batter onto thewaffle iron and depending on what kindof waffle iron you have it should takeabout one to two minutesmine lights up and stops when it’s doneso it’ll let me know then we will usethe cookie cutter to cut out the heartshape and like I said my waffles didn’tcome out pink through they look a littleburnt but the inside is definitely pinkfor the final product I sprinkled somepowdered sugar topped with some freshstrawberries and a little bit of maplesyrup now you can add whatever freshfruit you’d likethanks again guys for watching don’tforget to visit my website for morerecipes like subscribe and comment belowlet me know what you think of thisrecipe and we’ll see you guys next time
