Cook With Me | Fried Chicken and Waffles (2020)

In this video, we make some fried chicken and Belgium style waffles for some friends! This was how I spent my New Year’s Day 2020 and it was super fun to cater to a small group of ppl.
This is not no recipe LOOL . This is a cook with me or along with me soooo enjoy!

Ingredients:
Complete waffle mix
Milk (plant based option)
Eggs
Flour
Vegetable oil
Cooking oil spray
Spices and Seasonings of your choice
Bacon
Drumsticks
Syrup
Whipped cream

[Music]hi everyone so welcome to this videowelcome to my channeltoday we are gonna be making some brunchmaking waffles and chicken and these arethe seasonings I used so here I’m at myfriend’s house so she’ll be inbackground but I already seasoned thechicken I use some of that Criscovegetable oil and then I used one wholecube of Anor cube I’ll put like a littlepicture so you can see what I wastalking about I already threw it awaythis total seasoning for chicken andfish I used some garlic salt mind-readthis is like a shake here and a shakethere I didn’t use no measurements sorryI wouldn’t know a thing sorry – this manis she so I’m going to that’s all thethings that I use to season the chickenbecause I’m also gonna flavor and itadds a little spice to the flour so Ican’t tell you how much flour this is Iactually even added some of the wafflemix to it because I was scared I didn’thave enough flour but I think it cameout okay the flour is a bit the wafflemix is a bit sweeter than the flourwhich is fine it gives it a nice crunchand yeah so I’m that’s what I’m doingright now I’m trying to get this boxopen[Music][Music]I’m going to jump in and whisk up someeggs for the so that I have my littlesetup ready to go so I think I use threeeggs and for this batch of fried chickenI was contemplating sugar and I’ve thegap so I used three eggs and whisk thatall together and it’s even that withsome garlic salt garlic salt before Ipretty much use the same seasonings thatI’ve been using for the chicken and eggsbut the garlic salt the total seasoningfor chicken and fish I’m just carryingthose flavors from the chicken into theflour so that when you take a bite intoit it’s nice and juicy and crunchy andtasty and not bland put some slap yourmama – you would – slap your mama wheneat this chicky yep so yeah put some ofthat what I said there’s no measurementshere we’ve got I really know is pepperthick does anything to anyone but I meanit looks pretty onion powder is a mustin everyone’s household like if you havesalt and you have pepper the next fewthings you need is garlic either garlicseasoning or garlic salt parsley can’tforget about no parsley and onion powderthose things oh those ingredients alonecan change someone’s lifethen we put in some oregano and somecrushed red peppers red peppers so wemix that all together real nice and realgood and then I think I added a littlebit of some kosher salt sometimes I liketo add salt to things and sometimes Idon’t but when I’m touching for otherpeople I do it specially baby okay soyou can use normal salt this is just allmy friend have it in your house so addthat is we mix it and we whisk it alltogether make sure that the whole flourcomponent is fully coated and wellseasoned and fifty dough so that ispretty much the fried chicken set upready to goI like to taste the flour to see if Ineed to add more like I know that’sweird like completely judge me I’m I’mcompletely aware that it’s weird but Ifeel like if I don’t I can’t I can’tbecause I don’t even measure it I justneed that I just have to so yeah justset it all up[Music]oh the egg mixture into the chicken andlet that kind of hope the chicken well Iget a head start and the scrambled eggsand again so I threw the eggs into theegg mixture into the chicken that way itkind of makes the steps shorter and abit easier for me[Music][Music]I made a lot because it wasn’t just meand my friend it was me my friend myboyfriendhis daughter and his friend so I justmade enough so that I mean I know me andmy friend weren’t gonna eat a lot butyou know the guys eat so I just madeenough for them so I just season thatwith some garlic saltwhat else did I use some crushed redpepper crushed red peppers we used Idon’t think I used a lot and someparsley you need parsley in your lifeand I think I kind of held off on toomuch seasoning and this is some onionpowder of course because I used thebacon fat as for my oil and that was abit salty as well so I whisk that upusually I would throw some milk in herebut I didn’t have any like milk milk Ionly had vanilla almond milk and thatwasn’t that’ll worklet’s get off I really did make a messphone[Music]this is not fascinating it’s just mebeing incredible at whisking eggsso now you’re gonna wear the baconthis is Applewood bacon it’s real nicethick cut fatty bacon I don’t like mybacon crispy I don’t want to hear keepthe friendship when I’m eating bacon I’dlike it to be a bit chewy I need it tobe done obviously but it don’t need tobeit doesn’t humble when I put it in themouth so sorrybut yeah so I have the pan heated tomedium heat and I’m going to not put anyoil or any butter or anything the pansjust let the bacon kind of render allthat juicy and oh but this was the lastthing I was eating meat so I reallyindulged and sidon equities in NewYear’s so something that day forward Iwas going pescetarian vegetarianwhatever you want to call it I’m night Iwasn’t trying I’m not trying to eat meatdoor letting me[Music][Music][Music]so now we are making the scrambled eggsand like I said I have a completelydifferent pan and this is on medium heatas well I’m going to take all of thatyummy bacon fat which I put on the sideso it’s not it’s not too hot but Ialready placed it aside while I wasmaking the bacon and I’m gonna use thatand pour the egg mixture for thescrambled eggs into the pan and I liketo stir my eggs first of all I don’tlike my eggs dun dun I’m the weird blackperson that loves my eggs to be like Ilike my scrambled eggs to be likealmost done so that when you take it offthe stove they’re still cooking butthey’re still fluffy and she like Idon’t know I don’t know how to explainthat but I don’t need my eggs to be likecook cook it now mind you when it comesto fried eggs like Sonny Sutton mmmthat yolk needs to be so this is a bittechnical I was talking about like Inever let the eggs just stick I’m alwaysconstantly moving the mixture makingsure that it never settles into the panand it comes out really nice and fluffynow mind you I understand that noteveryone likes their eggs like this sofor this moment I put the eggs properlyproperly but if you were just for me Iwould know it pick it all the way butjust for this purposeI did I cooked it wellso yeah I’m still continuing to turn itmove it keep it moving never letting itlike a fully finished stock and yes[Music]we have that bacon or the waffle mixit’s already complete all you need to dois add water I added milk almond milkjust a little bit more richness spraythe waffle maker with whatever olivespray or oil spray you have I used avegetable spray and I like to pour milksugar with a little country and I don’tfill it all the way up because I likethe look at the Belgian waffle versusthe full hotel waffle and then we startmaking the chicken so I just showed youthat I put the mixture of the chickenand the egg into the flour and here aresome that are ready frying up oh itlooks so deliciousand yeah so I show you that I have somealready ready to go and then this waspretty much the whole setup the wholeshebang bangs we have the waffles wehave the bacon we have the scrambledeggswe have syrup we have whipped creamyou[Music]
