My mom wanted to have pecan pie for the holidays, so I decided to give it a try!

Ingredients:

CRUST
I suggest you use a frozen pie crust, or follow this video to make your own

FILLING
1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
3 large eggs (room temperature)
1/3 cup evaporated milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 cup light corn syrup
10 oz pecan halves

Bake in the center rack of oven @ 350ºF for 1 hr to 1 hour 10 minutes
Allow the baked pie to set for at least 6 hours, bake the day before for best results

I have never made my own pumpkin what amI making pecan pie what’s up guys I’mback with another video and today’svideo is another try it Thursday and I’mgonna be trying another recipe I’venever made my own pecan pie so my momwanted pecan pie for the holidays so Ilooked up a recipe I will have the videothat I followed in the description boxdown below now it is very easy to makewhat I did run into some hardships youguys will see in the video but anywaysgo ahead and keep on watching alright solet’s talk about the crust a little bitso traditionally you would see thesepies with a dough crust but I went tothe store and could not find any and Ireally didn’t feel like making my own soI opted to go ahead and do a grahamcracker crust that I usually make withmy cheesecakes but personally I feellike the dough crust is a lot better forthis type of pie so you can find recipesto make your own or you can just buy itat the store in the frozen sectionsome graham cracker butter you’re alsogoing to need some sugar some brownsugar three room-temperature eggsyou’re gonna need evaporated milk someflour vanilla extract salt some lightcorn syrup and pecan halves so I’m gonnapreheat the oven to 325 and that’s gonnabe for our crust so I’m just taking somegraham crackers and I’m gonna go aheadand crush this put it into a bowl and Itook half a stick of butter and I meltedthat down and then I’m gonna put twotablespoons of sugar inside and thenlike I said this is the crust I use formy cheesecake and it’s so delicious Iwouldn’t recommend it for the pecan piebut that’s what I ended up doing hereI’m just gonna go ahead and smash thatdownthen you’re gonna put it in the oven at325 for five minutes all right now we’regonna start on the filling I’m going totake my dark brown sugar my flour saltand then I’m just gonna whisk thistogether get out all the clumps thenwe’re going to add our room-temperatureeggs our evaporated milk vanilla extractthe other half of that stick of butter imelted that down and then our light cornsyrup we’re going to mix that alltogetherI’m gonna go ahead and beat these pecansa little bit just to chop them up then Idecided to put about five handfuls and Ihave a small hand so they’re not thatbig of handfuls into this you can put asmany pecans as you want I didn’t want toput too many so I just went ahead andput five handfuls then you’re gonna mixthat together until it looks like thisand then I went ahead and slowed it downfor you guys look at how delicious thislooks you’re welcome I slowed it downjust for you look at that it looks sogood it smells so good and I’m excitedto see how this turns out I just tap itdown a little bit get any of the airbubbles out then we’re gonna set theoven for 350 and for one hour so we’regonna put it in here’s where thehardship comes in so I checked it atabout 40 minutes and as you guys can seethe top looks burnt already and Ithought it was already cooked so Idecided to take it out at 40 minuteswhich showed to be a mistake I wentahead and put it in the refrigeratorovernight and as you guys can see thisis what it looks like it’s not fullycooked so I decided to cover it thistime with some foil put it back in theoven and this time I put it in the ovenfor a total of an hour and five minutesokay so this is a after taking it out ofthe oven the second time aroundunfortunately I didn’t have time to letit sit in the refrigerator so that’s whyit still looks Buie and gooey it’s justcuz it wasn’t able to set but this is myfirst time trying it and I have to admitit wasn’t bad it was actually prettygoodand I was satisfied with it my brotherwanted to go ahead and try it on cameraand I’m telling you guys he did way toomuch with his reaction yes I guess maybehe’s trying to becomean actor and just didn’t tell me but Idid not ask him to overreact like hejust did but he really actually did likeit a lot of my family said it was reallygood so it was a success alright guys sothat completes the video thank you somuch for watching let me know in thecomment section down belowwhat I should try for next Thursday itcould be another recipe it could bemakeup it could be hair an outfitanything you want me to try let me knowin the comment section down below don’tforget to thumbs up the video subscribeif you haven’t already and as alwaysremember to stay bold beautiful andblessed let me know what kind ofand forget to thumbs up holy so die
