THANKSGIVING PIES! | FOUR EASY PIE RECIPES | BAKE WITH ME!



Hey family!! Today we are baking our Thanksgiving Pies!! We share four super easy pie recipes with y’all that would be great for dessert on Thanksgiving!
To freeze these pies you just need to cover them well with plastic wrap. I also put mine in freezer bags, but you don’t have to. Transfer them from the freezer to the refrigerator the night before you are going to eat them.

Recipe:
Sweet Potato Pie Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potato (cooled)
¼ cup butter, melted
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1½ cups sugar
1 small package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding
2 unbaked frozen pie crusts (9 inch)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 and place frozen pie crusts on baking sheet(s).
Use paddle attachment in stand mixer to whip cooled sweet potatoes until they are completely smooth. This may take a few minutes.
Add melted butter to sweet potatoes and continue mixing until smooth.
Mix in eggs and milk, scraping down sides of bowl to fully incorporate.
Add sugar and vanilla pudding powder and mix until fully combined.
Divide filling evenly between two unbaked, frozen pie crusts.
Bake at 350 for about 30-35 minutes or until the crust is just browned and the pie is only slightly jiggly. At the 20 minute mark, rotate your pan in the oven.
Let cool for a few hours before cutting or over night in the fridge.
Store in refrigerator, slice, and enjoy!

Pecan Pie

Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 whole Unbaked Pie Crust
1 cup White Sugar
3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Corn Syrup
3/4 teaspoons Vanilla
1/3 cup Melted Butter (salted)
3 whole Eggs, Beaten
1 cup (heaping) Chopped Pecans

Directions:
Mix sugar, brown sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter, eggs, and vanilla together in a bowl.
Pour chopped pecans in the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.
Pour syrup mixture over the top. Cover top and crust lightly/gently with foil. Bake pie at 350º for 30 minutes. Remove foil, then continue baking for 20 minutes, being careful not to burn the crust or pecans. NOTE: PIE SHOULD NOT BE OVERLY JIGGLY WHEN YOU REMOVE IT FROM THE OVEN. If it shakes a lot, cover with foil and bake for an additional 20 minute or until set. Required baking time seems to vary widely with this recipe. Sometimes it takes 50 minutes; sometimes it takes 75!
Peanut Butter Pie Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 pre-baked pie crust
1 block softened cream cheese
1 8oz container cool whip (thawed)
1/2 cup of sugar
2 Tablespoons Peanut Butter

Directions:
Mix cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Add in PB and cool whip and mix well. Pour into pre-baked crust. Store in refrigerator or you can freeze it until ready to eat.

Chocolate Pie Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 pre-baked pie crust
1 5.1 oz box instant chocolate pudding
milk
1 8oz container of cool whip (thawed)

Directions:
Mix pudding with only half of what the box calls for. Add in thawed cool whip and pour into pie crust. Store in refrigerator or you can freeze until ready to eat.

alright y’all so today is the day we aremaking all our Thanksgiving pies to datein preparation for the big turkey daywe’re making six pies to sweet potato topecan pies one chocolate pie and onepeanut butter pie[Music]- chocolate – chocolate pies ah I tellyou what you help mama remember and I’llget the stuff to make an extra chocolatepie – okayeach kid is gonna help make a pop I knowCece wants to help make the chocolatepie Jonah do you want to help make sweetpotato pie or pecan pie that sweetpotato all right so I took all my piecrustsyes I use frozen pie crusts alreadypre-made that’s okay if you want to doall mazes you go right ahead but I gothe easy route on the pie crust and Iuse the frozen ones so I have two piecrusts in each pack here so this is allsix of our pie crusts I took them out ofthe freezer so they could be warming upa little bit so I could poke the holesin them we’re gonna go ahead and put twoof these in the oven because thechocolate pie and the peanut butter piewe’re going to pre bake the pie crustwe’re not doing it for the pecan or thesweet potato but for those other two weneed to pre-bake our pie crust so we’regonna go ahead poke holes in these twoand stick them in the ovens it hasbecome a tradition that when we makeanything for Thanksgiving what do wewatch eat Garfield’s things given everytime especially on Thanksgiving Day buteven today we’re making the pies forThanksgiving so we are watchingGarfield’s Thanksgiving[Music]alright now I just went ahead and pokethe holes in all my pie crust so we gotthat part out of the way quick tip forpies if you forget to sit out yourfrozen pie crust and you need to getsoft so you can poke the holes juststick it on top of your oven I alreadyhad mine preheated to 350 so it wasalready pretty warm I just sat them hereon top of the oven and in just like 5minutes they were soft enough to pokethe holes all right let’s see it startedfirst up we’re gonna put two of these inthe oven for the chocolate pie in thepeanut butter pie so they’re just gonnabake until they are browned and done thefirst thing we need to do for the sweetpotato pies get these in the microwaveso I have four sweet potatoes here weneed 2 cups of cooked and mashed sweetpotatoes so we’re going to wash thesepoke these with a fork the fork is likeour best friend so far and stick them inthe microwave until they’re tenderenough to mash usually it’s gonna takeabout I’m not gonna do them all four atone time I’ll there two and then twomore it’ll probably take about tenminutes each time[Music]all right Joan are you ready yeah firstthing we need in there is 1/4 of a cupof melted butterit looks like a pond now that’s not awerewolf mashed potatoes yes you justwash your hands yeah I just watch themwith me at Stansted so talk to keep thatman’s hand on your hand oh all right youknow we just needed a small package ofthis vanilla pudding but Titus got methe big one and he actually got two ofthe big ones anyway you just need thesmaller one this is the 5.1 ounce youneed the one that’s smaller than this Ithink it’s three I think it’s threesomething it’s good we’re gonna put in alittle more than half okay that shouldbe it right there now we need one cup ofmilk one and a half cups of sugar highyup that’s a half a cup so how many ofthose are you gonna need for one and ahalf cups to a three that’s it you gotit ace I’m producing directing egg we’reready to me right now will you put it onnumber three yeah I think I’ll keep itdown there so it doesn’t splash outeverywhere hey number three[Music]now we have to unbaked pie crusts herewhat you’re gonna do is take this spoonJonah wants to put them in the shellhang on Mama’s gonna get give you aneasier way to do it okayoh you’re sleazier wait you strap it upand put it put it evenly between the twopie crusts okay[Music]high time you got them done yeah nowmama did help him flat them out just alittle bit on the top alright these aregoing in the oven at 350 for 20 minutesthen we’re gonna rotate them also atthat point if the crust are starting toget too Brown I’ll cover them with alittle bit of full that way the you knowedges of the crust don’t get too brownedand then they’ll cook for just 10 to 15more minutes and they will be ready tocome out alright sweet potato pies aredone next up chocolate alright so forthe chocolate pie first we needchocolate pudding you can either use thebig box of chocolate pudding but ourlawn art was out so they substituted andgave me these two small ones so we’regonna dump in both of these boxes ofchocolate pudding mix alright also onthe box for the chocolate pudding itsays to put two cups of cold milk wewant to cut that in half for this recipeso that it’s not so pudding me becausewe’re gonna be mixing Cool Whip with itso see see if we want to cut the milk inhalf if one box said to put two cups howmany cups do we need to put if we wantto only put half one cup but we have twoboxes right so we’re gonna put in twocups of milk it would normally be fourcups but we only want to put halfalright so now we’re gonna whisk it up[Music]now we’ve dumped in a whole eight ouncetub of cool you need help all right I’lltake over this stir in here all right sohere’s one of the pie crusts that wealready baked now we’re just gonna pourthe chocolate and Cool Whip mixture intothe pie crust this is probably theeasiest chocolate pie everall right so that’s it for the chocolatepie you can totally add to this puttoppings on it whipped cream whateveryou want to put on top of it all righton to the next pie all right next uppeanut butter pie made by Jacob it’s hisfavorite so he’s gonna make peanutbutter pie we’re gonna need the cookedpie crust sugar cool whip cream cheeseand peanut butter all these pie recipesby the way will be in the descriptionbox below here we go[Music][Music]all right peanut butter pie is done onto the next one next up we have Mr Twith the pecan pie the last pie of theday all right so we’re doubling ourrecipe for pecan pie and this is thePioneer Woman’s recipe it is so good andpretty easy so inside the mini foodprocessor we have a cup of pecans Ialready chopped them just a little bitTyler’s gonna finish chopping those upthat’s good in this bowl we have a cupof little pecan halves and some choppedup to little chunks anyway we’re gonnaput a half of these peak ons here andthen you put the other half over thereif there’s whole ones break them into ahalf all right so once we put the pecansin the bottom we’re gonna get the oneswe chopped up now and we’re gonna justsprinkle these all around in herechopping them up like this makes it havea really good crust on top okay herecomes the bowl you need a cup of sugarin there I’m sorry I forgot we’re Dublinso we need two cups of sugar 6tablespoons of brown sugar going in ateaspoon of salt 2 cups of corn syrup sowe’re not measuring this part becausethat whole bottle is 2 cups so we’rejust pouring in the whole bottleManley’sI thought he was ready for his nap butno he’s like there’s pie-baking goingdown I must see yeah I’m gonna seewhat’s going on all right Tyler we needa teaspoon and a half of vanilla I’mjust going to eyeball this okay wellthat’s a teaspoonnow do about half of that I already didthis step for Tyler this is six eggsbeaten is really sad two-thirds of a cupof melted butter yeah now we’re going totake this mixture and divide it evenlybetween both pie so you’re gonna puthalf here half here okaydon’t let it overflows there you go allright so for these piles we’re gonnacover them with full and they’re gonnabake in the oven at 350 for 30 minutesafter 30 minutes we’ll remove the polland they’re gonna make 20 more minutesso this pie takes the longest to bakebut it’s still not very hard to make[Music][Music]alright y’all the pecan pies are outwe’re just gonna let them sit here for awhile and cool down and then we’ll stickthem in the freezer with the other onesalright go so now we have all of ourpies ready for Thanksgiving I don’t havetoo much of a mess in here because Ikept cleaning as I was cooking so Idon’t have too much to clean up except Ineed to aunt bee that dish drainerit’s   6. Y’all did such a wonderful job with those pies! Jacob, PB Pie has recently become my favorite, too…excellent choice.

  7. I like to make candied cranberries. Then drizzle some with chocolate and some with orange zest. The crunch of the sugar on the outside yields to the juicy cooked cranberry inside. So pretty and delicious.

  8. I think it’s so sweet that all the kids get to make their own pie (with Momma’s help ). Jonah is fast becoming his daddy’s comic relief when big dad ain’t home! Lol!!
