Something Different~Let’s bake a PIE! | Simply Shelia



Today we are heading to the kitchen and honestly friends, the kitchen footage is laughable! I just don’t have a great set up for cooking videos! Go ahead, LAUGH!!! I know I did!!! Recipe below!

Cranberry Pecan Pie
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
1 Deep dish pie crust, I like ready made roll out crust or you can make one from scratch!
3 TBSP melted butter
3 Beaten eggs
1 Cup syrup, recipe calls for light Karo, I use pancake syrup
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar ( I use light brown sugar)
1 bag fresh cranberries
1 Cup chopped pecans
1 tsp Vanilla

Mix all ingredients together and pour into unbaked crust. Bake for 15 minutes at 450 degrees. Then reduce heat to 350 and bake until center is set. Typically about 40-50 minutes depending on your oven!

heyyo is she love thank you for selfabout and spending a few minutes of yourday with me I do so appreciate it we’redoing something a little different todaysomething I have never done I love tocook I do and here lately I’ve been likewatching a lot of cooking channels onYouTube and just enjoying them andseeing some of the things they do iwatch some home state videos no we’renot homesteaders were not on standardsbut there’s one in particular with BoyleHaller miss Laurie is she soothes me sheis a very calming person I’ll link herbelow but anyway I’m doing a a cookingvideo today and I’m recording this afterI’ve done the video on purpose because Iknew I would be terrible at it I don’thave to set up for it you know I justdon’t and if I do another one I’ll tryand do it a little better but it is a ifyou like cranberries and you like pecansand you you’re throwing caution to thewind with calories carbs and all thatthen you might like the spot I make thispie in the fall around the holidays andI get asked to bring this pot of thingsit’s got the sweetness of a pecan pieand the tartness of the cranberries andit’s a pretty pot but yeah in a minuteyou’re gonna see me down in the kitchenmaking that pine you’re gonna see mereaching up to cut the phone off y’allknow to record on my phone if the videoquality is horribleI’m telling you it’s horrible and I needto redo it but right now I don’t need tobake another pie if I knew David I’lljust eat it so I’m not known here onYouTube for my clever editing in myvideo quality I’m not a production and Inever will be but just ignore some ofsome of that in the video and theirrecipe and the instructions on how tobake the pie will be linked below Iwanted to go out and get aI thought some young might enjoy makingthis pie for Thanksgiving if if you’rehere in the US and you celebrateThanksgiving or you might want to makeit for Christmas or the holiday seasonso I’m telling you the quality is notgood it’s not good but yeah here it goesmy pie so I’ll see y’all laterI know okay y’all for this pie thatwe’re making is a cranberry pecan piebelieve I’ve already said that it’s verysimple it’s one of the easiest pies Imake I have a deep-dish pie panwith a ready-made crust and I like thePillsbury crust I roll out like thisthese are my grocery stores brandbecause they were out of the Pillsbury Ihave three tablespoons of melted butterin my four cup measuring cup I’m notusing a bowl this is so easy the nextthing you add is a half a cup of whitesugar a half a cup of brown sugarthese are three beaten eggs just stirthem around with a forkand pour them in there and then I have 1cup of syrup now it calls for lightCairo syrup and one time I was makingthis pie and I didn’t have Cairo syrup Ihave a friend that uses dark Cairo syrupin hers and sometimes the medium but Ihad no Cairo syrup now I’m just stirringthis up and all I had was pancake syrupso I made it with pancakes are up andDavid said that he thought it tastedbetter with the maple pancake syrup sothat’s what I’m using today and I amjust stirring this up now I’m going toadd one teaspoon of vanilla I know I’mnot using a measuring spoon there’s thisis a really simple easy recipe now allright fresh cranberries mine aren’tfrozen I get them and put them in thefreezer and just have them if I everwant to make this pie I take this pot toa lot of functions I get requested tobring this pie now I’m going to open mypecans I put in 1 cup of pecans into mymixture keep in mind if you put this ina regular pie shell it will overflowinto your oven this is a deep-dishrecipe and it is as simple as that youput this in the oven to bake at 450degrees for 15 minutes and then you cutit down turn your oven temperature downto 350 and you cook it until it’s set inthe middle until it doesn’t shake likethat sometimes here that’s 40 minutesand sometimes that’s 50 minutes so I’llbe back I’ll probably just put a pictureat the end when I take this out of theoven it is so easy something you caneven make the filling up ahead and putit in the refrigerator a couple of daysahead of time and have it ready to gofor later on super easy I love the sweettart make sure it’s not something I eatall the time by any means but it is atgatherings and stuff it is requested forme to bring this pie y’all have a greatday make it a great day a picturethe finished product will be at the end
