I am a southern girl born in raised in Collard Valley in Polk County Georgia. We went to church on Sunday, school during the week, the grocery store on Friday’s and that was our life. No vacations, no camping, just plain old southern country people
Chocolate Fudge Pie
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter plus 2 tablespoons
4 tbsp. self rising flour
6 tbsp. hershey’s cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
Prick pie crust with a fork and bake in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Turn oven down to 350 after removing crust for baking pie.

In a glass bowl combine the sugar, eggs, vanilla, melted butter and mix well. Add cocoa and flour and mix well. Put in the pre-baked crust and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Turn oven down to 325 and bake another 8 minutes it shouldn’t be removed from oven until set

[Music][Music]whoo now that’s a party in your mouthhey y’all it’s Tammy what colored Valleycook said today we made our chocolatepie it’s in the volume 1 cookbook[Music]today we are going to make a chocolatepie this pie is like a brownie pie butit’s also very fudgy so it’s like thecross between the two and it’s deliciousit’s my kids favorite today is Amy’sbirthday so we’re making this for herall right we have one stick plus twotablespoons of butter melted in a batterbowl now we’re going to take a cup ofsugarfour tablespoons of self-rising flourall right the one I used for flower wasreally a half tablespoon so that’s why Imade it heaping so it is fourtablespoons I ain’t got a realtablespoon for the cocoa so for thecocoa you want six tablespoons one twofive six so what I like to do is I liketo whisk the dry ingredients togetherand we can also put in our soul allright we threw in a quarter teaspoon ofsaltand we’re just going to whisk thistogether I just like to do this to getthe cocoa mixed into the dry ingredientswell so that I don’t have a love ofcocoa in my dessert I’ll do this forjust about anything I make that hascocoa in it I mix it with the floursugar before I add it with the wetingredients okay we’re going to use twolarge eggs I’m going to this is thebutter that’s melted it’s one stick plustwo tablespoonsnow we’re gonna add a teaspoon ofvanilla I’m gonna go ahead and whiskthis together and now we’re all we’regoing to do add the dry ingredients it’sthat simple now it’s going to be reallysticky like a brownie but it’s nothingyou have to get the mixer out for that’sall there is to it now we’re just gonnaplace it in our precooked posh ale soyummy alright our pie shell is ready heyole I’m gonna put it right here whileI’m browning the other one all rightwe’re gonna put our filling into the pieshellI like the shell cool just about fiveminutesand I’ll get me a spatula make sure Iget every little bit in therewe’re gonna put this in the oven andbake it for 30 minutes at 350 degreesOh just messed up my crust which is mybig fat thing that’s what it iswell I guess I’ll have to eat this seey’all see how in a few minutesall right we have 42 seconds left on theclock it’s time to get the pies out Imade another one too because we haveteenagers over tonight and one pie butnot have lasted very long and I want tohave one for Sunday so you’re gonna seethem and you need to make sure they’redone and they’re still a little jiggly Iwant to see a little bit of a crack onthe topall right I baked him five more minutesyou don’t want to over bake them toomuch because brownies aren’t good dryokayand neither is fudge pop so 35 minuteseverybody’s opens a little bit differentso just make sure that they’re set andthey’re not jiggly in the middle you cansee that it’s nice and fudgywe’re gonna take about I already knowhow good it isget you some cool whip to go on the topwhoo now that’s a party in your mouthwhoo y’all have got to make this piebake it like five minutes longer than itsays it says 30 minutes thanks forwatchingcolor Valley cooks where we cook a lotmama did
