Our journey of the world with Ranveer Brar has taken us to Northern England, and the choice of dish for today’s episode is the Shepherd’s Pie. Quick recap of the recipe:
– Add 1 tablespoon oil in pan
– Boil 2 chopped potatoes
– Add 4-5 crushed garlic to the frying pan
– Add ½ cup chopped onions
– Add 1 chopped carrot
– Add 500-gram minced lamb
– Add 1 tablespoon tomato puree
– Add 1 tablespoon thyme leaves
– Add ¼ cup stock
– Add 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
– Add ¼ cup peas
– Add salt for taste
– Add 1 teaspoon black pepper and 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
– Mash the potatoes
– Add 1 egg yolk to the mash and mix
– Add salt
– Add 1 tablespoon butter
– Add ¼ cup fresh cream
– Put the mash in a piping bag
– Chop 1 tablespoon coriander leaves and add it to the lamb
– Put the lamb in a bowl
– Pipe the potato over the lamb
– Bake the pie in the oven
– Garnish it thyme and Papadum
– Serve and dig in
