I find friends I’ve broke with the flakyapple pie company thanks for being herethat means you bought a pie from ustoday we’re gonna be showing you how tobake a pumpkin pie and a pumpkin crumbpie perfect for Thanksgiving in theholiday seasons so make sure you keepyour pies in your freezer until you’reready to make them which you are takethem out go ahead open up that boxyou’ll find your baking instructionsinside and little tips and tricksit’s just taped in there so take it outso you can refer to it when you need itand then underneath your pie you’ll finda piece of parchment so take that out ofyour box as well put your box to theside and have a feeling you’ll be goingto a holiday party of this wood soyou’re going to want that box later andgo ahead and take your piece ofparchment and line your cookie sheetwith it and go ahead and unwrap yourpart the pumpkin will have two pieces ofplastic on it now when you are takingoff the plastic of your crown if some ofthe crumb or your little decal falls offjust to go ahead and put that back ontherenow keep in mind your pumpkin andpumpkin crumb usually take a little bitlonger to bake than some of our othertires so you’ll notice all the bakinginstructions it’ll say the same time assome of the others an hour to an hourand a half but I’ve always found thatthey’re a little bit closer to the hourand a half time later I’ll show you howto tell when they’re exactly done nowour ovens already preheated to 375 sowe’re gonna pop them in so here we haveour pumpkin and our pumpkin crumbthey’re looking good it’s been about anhour and 20 minutes like I told youbefore it they do tend to cook on thelonger side they’re not quite donethough still just a little jiggly butit’s super super close so we’re gonna doa toothpick tests and probably aboutanother five minutes if you look at thecrumb the crumb right here is cookingreally really nice we want the middle tocook a little bit more and we’re goingto do the same thing with the toothpicktest on that one in a little bit of timeas wellokay these are looking really reallygood we’re gonna stick a toothpick inthem and see how they come out kind oflike a cake it should come out cleanlooks pretty good there’s a little biton there but the rest of its lookingpretty solid it’s not Wiggly anymore soI think it’s safe to say you can take itout and then we’re gonna check thepumpkin crumb this one is a littletrickier when you’re doing yourtoothpick test because the cremeobviously is going to maybe leave someon it what you want to look for isorange this one is looking perfect it’scompletely donethere’s no pumpkin on it and even nocrumb on it so it’s perfect if you lookat it you’ll see how it’s puffing up alittle bit it’s a little bit puffy butas you’ll see at the end it will flattenout and decrease in the puffiness[Music]if you notice right here on the edgeit’s a little dark that’s totally normalit’s just the sugar crystallizing sodon’t be alarmed or freaked out thatit’s all burnt but here’s an example towhere like on a pastry pie if you feellike your crust is getting a little bitdarker than maybe you would like youcould always foil the edges during thebaking process here’s our final productfor our pumpkin crumb and our pumpkinpie I bake these the night before andlet them sit in the fridge so they wereset up and cooled especially on theholidays your ovens gonna be pretty busyso it’s nice to bake your pies the nightbefore and have one less thing on yourplate especially if you don’t want tohave your pie warm when you serve it ifyou do just let them sit for aboutthirty forty-five minutes once they’redone baking now like I said because theyhave eggs and milk in them they’re bestto be stored in the fridge when you dothat though your pumpkin pie willprobably sweat a little as what we callit just has a little bit of a moisturebuildup on it not a big deal but if youdon’t like that go ahead and take apaper towel and just lightly dab it andthat will take care of that and thenyour pies are all set and ready for youto serve alright so now we’re going tocut this pumpkin crumb and hear thatcrunch[Music]your crime might fall off not a big dealjust add it to your platethere you go[Music]thank you for joining the flakey applepie company we hope you enjoy bakingyour pie and eating it as much as we didmaking it
