Hey everyone 🙂 Welcome to my channel! I’m so glad you are here. Today I am sharing how I like to make a Blackberry Pie with a lattice top. I love baking pie, especially in the Fall! I hope you enjoy, if you do please Like & Subscribe. The recipes are written out below.
PIE CRUST RECIPE ( NO CHILLING REQUIRED) :
3 Cups Flour
1 Cup Butter (I use salted)
2 tsp Suger
2 Egg Yokes
1/2 Cup cold water
*In Large bowl measure 3 cups flour. Cut in 1 cup butter until it forms pea sized flour butter mixture. Set aside
*In small bowl mix together, 2 tsp sugar, 2 egg yokes, 1/2 cup cold water.
*add wet ingredients to flour butter mixture and mix with fork until dough forms. Use hands to shape it into a ball ( Do not over mix! ) and then cut in half.
*Roll out dough to fit your Pie plate, with the second piece of dough roll out the same but use a knife to cut dough into 1 inch strips. Do lattice design.
BERRY PIE FILLING RECIPE :
5 — 6 Cups Fresh Blackberries
3/4 –1 Cup Sugar ( depending on the sweetness you prefer )
1/3 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
*Mix dry ingredients together with wisk, then in a Large mixing bowl stir in Blackberries into dry flour/Sugar mixture and fold lightly until Berries are evenly coated. Set aside and let marinate until you are ready to put them in your prepared pie crust.
BAKE PIE @375 with foil over edges of crust for the first 25 min. Remove foil and bake until Pie is bubbling and crust is golden brown, 30 min or more. Cool Pie on Wire rack to set. Then refrigerate or serve. Enjoy!!!
