this morning I’m going to put togetherthe grandma’s ham and Swiss pie and ifyou watched my grocery haul I purchaseda Kentucky legend ham and that’s whatI’m going to use in this recipe so I’mgoing to start out by putting two cupsof the ham that I diced up in thiscasserole dish and it says to use a nineinch pie plate but I’ve made this recipebefore and I didn’t like how that turnedout to me it didn’t seem like it was bigenough so I actually wound uptransferring it from the 9 inch pieplate into this glass casserole dish sothat’s what I’m going to use this timebecause it worked well last time so goahead and get your ham layered in thebottom and then it calls for onion so ifyour family will eat chopped onion ordiced onion you can put that on next butmine will not so I’m going to mix inonion powder into the filling so that’sthe first step layer your ham and onionif you desire now I’m going to add inthe rest of the ingredientsit’s 1 cup of grated Swiss cheese 2 cupsof half-and-halfand then it calls for a pinch of garlicpowder and then if you added your onionyou won’t need to do this step but ifyour family likes whole onion or dicedonion it’s 1/3 a cup but I’m using onionpowder so I’m going to use about a halfa teaspoon of the onion powder that lastlittle bit in there now I’m going to addin four eggs[Applause][Applause]okay that’s the four eggs into thatyou’re going to add a cup of Bisquick orbaking mix that’s just kroger brandbaking mix a couple of pinches of saltand a couple of or more than a coupleseveral cranks of ground black pepperthat’s just going to depend on how muchpepper and salt you like in the recipethen we’re going to mix this alltogether and now I’m gonna stir this alltogether I’m gonna whisk it together andthen I’m just going to pour this mixture[Applause]over the ham and then the recipe doesn’tcall for this but I am going to sprinklesome more Swiss cheese over the topprobably 1/4 cup because too much cheeseis no such thing and then you’resupposed to bake this at 400 and it saysfor 30 to 40 minutes last time I madethis recipe it took longer so I’ll bakeit off and then I’ll let you know howlong it took for it to get done and I’llshow you the finished product and here’sthe finished productgrandma’s ham and Swiss pie what I didwas I bake this at 400 for about 45minutes this one is a little tricky toget done sometimes when you check it youpoke a knife or a fork or something init it’ll still be a little bit runny soyou might need to adjust yourtemperature your oven temperature andyou might even want to put some foil onit the last few minutes of baking timeif you don’t like the top to get crispybut my family enjoys the crispy top soanyway that is grandma’s ham and Swissbreakfast pie I’m going to put all thedescription in the description box belowthe complete recipe so if you want togive it a try you can thanks forwatching
