Ingredients:
For Pie Crust
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
½ cup Almond Flour
20 gms Butter

For Pie Filling
½ cup Mushrooms (cut into small cubes)
1 cup Chicken (cut into small cubes )
Few sprigs fresh Thyme
½ cup White sauce (made with 1 tbsp Refined Flour, 1 tbsp Butter, 1 cup Milk and ½ cup Fresh cream)

Method:
For Filling
1. Heat a saucepan, add butter and the refined flour and make a white roux. Immediately add warm milk to it and whisk it well until no lumps in it.
2. Then pour fresh cream to it and mix well, season with salt and pepper.
3. In a separate pan heat some oil, saute garlic, mushrooms, chicken together and season it with salt, pepper and fresh thyme.
4. Now add the sauce to it and mix well until the mixture becomes thick and creamy.

For Making Pie Crust
1. In a bowl, add whole wheat flour, almond flour and mix well, then add chilled butter to it cut and rub it into the mixture.
2. Bring it all together and form a semi soft dough with the help of cold water as required.
3. Dust some flour and roll out the dough as per the size of the pie dish.
4. Line the pie dish with the dough, allow it to cool in the refrigerator for about half an hour.
5. Now preheat the oven to 170*c and blind bake the pie for 8-10 minutes.
6. Finally pour the filling to the baked pie crust, grate mozzarella on top and bake for another 5 minutes and serve hot.

[Music]hi you’re watching being on with ourchef and beyond I’m Rita Ryan and we areon the playlist of playdates now I tookclay did you do give a lot ofknickknacks and I’ve shown you a lot ofrecipes of that let’s make chicken andmushroom pie in almond crust yes youmust be surprised to hear almond crustbut that’s what I have done I’m going touse half of whole wheat flour and halfso now I’m cutting some cold butter init and very quickly and with a deft handI’m going to turn this into a crumblymixture and then I’m going to add somewater and make a dough out of this okaylovely now this dough is ready make thissmooth and then I’m going to roll it outand and add it to my five tip okay sonow I’m gonna roll this out and even ifit cracks don’t worry the butter in itis going to finally bring it all backtogether okay this is done now I have aspring pan pipe and tin and now I amgoing to place this gently on it nowwith the help of a knife or you can justturn it we are going to blind bake thisin the oven at about 180 degreespreheated oven for about 10 to 12minutes okay now for blind baking youcan also put in some rajma or some chinato prevent it from rising up I’m goingto cut off the excess and then with thehelp of a fork just dock it well okaywe’ve got this and now like I mentionedearlier which is gonna put a littleparchment paper and add some rajmanow into the oven alright so here thepie is ready I have taken it out andcooled it because you need to let itcool a little before you fill it up andbake it again so since I have to make itagain I’m going to put this right backand move it on the side and let’s beginwith the filling of the pie so I’m gonnaheat a pan and I’m gonna add some oil toit so I’m gonna add some little choppedgarlic to it sautee it a bitalright now the moment you get a nicecolor in the garlic you add your dicedchicken chicken is going to hardly takeany time to cook allow it to cookalright so the chicken is almost cookednow I’m gonna add the mushrooms to itand toss it a bit add a little bit ofseasoning and salt and some crushedpepper salt and pepper kabob now I’mgoing to add my favorite herb some freshthyme so just pull out the leaves andadd them in you can also chop these andnow last but not the least I’m going toadd this white sauce with that ourfilling is ready okay so now here I havemy pie crust and I’m going to add thefilling to italright this is done now I’ve got somecheese and this will go back into theoven for about 4 to 5 minutes just tillthis gets nice and graduated becauseeverything is cooked so gorgeous and nowI’m going to transfer this to my servingplatter some garnish with some parsleyand oh I have some pretty edible flowerstoo I’m going to place them here this isreally a yummy dish and so delightfullyhealthy please do try it and don’tforget to subscribe to being on with ourchef and beyond only if you like italright I’ll see you very soon keepwatching the plate a playlist and I’llbe back with more[Music]
