Baked Salted Caramel Chocolate Pie & a 42L oven GIVEAWAY from Borosil!

Made with easily available ingredients, the Baked Salted Caramel Chocolate Pie is a great eggless dessert to serve up. {Recipe below}

Eggless Baked Salted Caramel Chocolate Pie

Walnut Cookie Crust
12 digestive biscuits, broken roughly
1/2 cup walnuts
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp/30g ghee

Chocolate filling
250g coarsely chopped 54% couverture chocolate, room temperature
175g fresh cream

1 jar salted caramel sauce, room temperature

1 cup whipping cream
2 tbsp icing sugar

Preheat the oven to 180C

Walnut Cookie Crust
Place cookies, walnuts, sugar & ghee in chopper. Process in 5 second bursts till breadcrumb like mixture forms.
Turn into 7″ glass pie dish and place in freezer for 10 minutes .
Pour over the salted caramel {reserve some for the top}, and return to freezer, while the chocolate filling is prepared.

Chocolate filling
Pour cream over the chocolate, and microwave for 30 seconds. Leave for 5 minutes. Repeat if required. Gently stir until smooth. Pour over chilled salted caramel. Even out

Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
Cool, chill for a few hours.

Whip the cream and sugar to medium high peaks, then top the chilled pie with it.
Drizzle over some salted caramel sauce and garnish with chocolate.
Chill until ready to serve.

Tip: You can slice the pie into 6 or 8 before topping with cream. It’ll be easier to serve out of the dish.
