[Music]hey everyone and welcome back today’svideo is so excitingnot only am i sharing my absolutefavorite dessert recipe for the holidaysbut it is part of an open collab thatMandy from Mandy in the dessertrecipes when I heard she was doing anopen collaboration I had to share thisdessert recipe today I am going to besharing a no-bake candy cane pieyou guys this desert was my favoritewhen I was little my grandma used tohave these around Christmasshe bought not one but two and sometimesthree now I say bought because my schoolor I should say my grade school when Iwas little I had something called amarket day where you could order foodfrom so that is where she got them frombut today I’m gonna be sharing ahomemade version thanks to Pinterest Iwas able to recreate now when I say shebought one two and sometimes three piesyou guys this recipe I’m telling you isa big hit everyone in our familydevoured these first before any otherdessert and I wanted to put a few littledisclaimers in there if you hear myvoice sounding kind of funny it’sbecause I’m coming down with a coldunfortunately but that’s okay we’restill gonna have a great time makingthis dessert I also wanted to mention ifyou wanted to make this dessert a littlebit healthier you could use sugar-freeand light options and if you wanted tomake this dessert ahead of time youabsolutely can’t the only thing that Iwould not make ahead of time is thewhipped topping on top so basically likea whipped cream on top that I would makethe day off so without any more talkinglet’s get on into making this perfectholiday dessert so here are all theingredients you’re gonna need for thisno baked candy cane pie so over herewe’re gonna start with this this is notmandatory but I’m telling you it givesit the most amazing flavor this is thecoffee-mate peppermint mocha creamerif you didn’t want to use this you cango ahead and use extra milk as asubstitution and then some heavywhipping cream some vanilla and apeppermint extract powdered sugar and an8 ounce container of Cool Whip I chosethe extra creamy but you can choosewhatever you prefer a packet of gelatinone box of instant chocolate pudding inthe 3.9 ounce 1 8 ounce black ofsoftened cream cheese 1 chocolate piecrust and then the recipe calls forNestle brand red and green chocolatechips I looked everywhere for them and Icould not find them I tried fordifferent stores so I don’t know ifthey’re not out yet or if maybe itNestle does not make them anymoreso if you can find them in your areaplease go ahead and use them because itmakes your candy cane pie extra festiveso instead I’m gonna be using some ofthe semi-sweet mini chocolate chips andsome of the Ghirardelli peppermintchunks also not pictured you’re gonnaneed some milk and some water and togarnish your pie and to make it superfestive and pretty we are going to beusing some mini candy canes but I’m alsogoing to be taking some of these andcrushing them up into a bag so the firstthing you’re going to want to do isunpackage your chocolate crustand once you take out the plastic you’rejust gonna go ahead and fold the foilright back in placethen set this off to the side for amoment and then in a medium bowl you aregoing to be mixing together the jell-opudding mix milk and your creamer orlike I mentioned earlier if you didn’twant to use the creamer just add moremilk[Music]okay once you have the pudding the milkand your creamer in the bowl you’regonna go ahead and whisk it or mix it upwith a fork for two minutes so it’s beenabout two minutes and now I’m gonna putit in the refrigerator to set out forabout five minutes so while the puddingis setting in the refrigerator I’m justgonna go ahead and unwrap a few of theseand then I’m gonna put them into a bagand crush them up you want to make surethat the pieces are not too big so theydon’t break anybody’s teeth okay so nowthat our pudding is all set up we aregoing to take one and a half cups andput it into the bottom of our chocolatepie crust[Music]okay and you can save the rest for yourchildren to eat and I am gonna spreadthis out and stick it in the freezer fortwo hours so the pudding is almost setup and before that’s done we’re gonna goahead and start mixing our cream cheesemixture together so I have my KitchenAidmixer here and I am going to add thewhisk attachment right in here[Music]so in this bowl we’re gonna creamtogether the cream cheese and thepowdered sugar[Music]make sure if you’re like me to getpowdered sugar everywhere because that’swhat’s happening alright so here’s myfirst cup and then I’m gonna do 1/4 cupand continuing to make a mess cuz youknow that’s ok with baking right and nowwe are going to turn the mixer on andcream them together really well beforewe go ahead and add the vanilla extractand the peppermint extract[Music][Music]that looks pretty good and now I’m gonnago ahead and add a half a teaspoon ofpeppermint extract and a half a teaspoonof vanilla extract[Music]and then you’re gonna give that a goodwhisk as well[Music]great so now I’m just gonna scrape downthe sides in here and just make sureeverything is incorporated really welllooks pretty good give it one more quicklittle little mix here[Music]we are gonna add an entire 8 ouncecontainer of Cool Whip you’re just gonnago ahead and fold it in not use yourKitchenAid mixer I’m so excited for thisdessert you guys you have no idea mygrandmother is no longer with usunfortunately so baking and making thisdessert brings back so many memories Imiss her so muchI wish my kids could meet her she justloved on them[Music][Music]all right and at this point onceeverything is folded in I’m gonna addthe mini chocolate chips and some of thepeppermint chunk chips and like Imentioned earlier I could not find thered and green chocolate chips which I’msuper sad about but these are gonna workjust fine they’re still gonna be superfestive hoping that the peppermint chipswill give it a pop of red color we willsee so if I had the red and greenchocolate chip you would add 3/4 cup ofthose but like I said I don’t have thoseso we’re gonna do let’s do a quarter cupof minis they smell good okaythey’re kind of baked they’re like theselittle it almost looks like Trident gumbut they’re just like little peppermintrectangles so I’m gonna do two quartercups why not not as much red as I washoping for but you know what it’s stillgonna be good guys all right so thenwe’re gonna go ahead and fold those inas well[Music]so now I’m going to add this mixture toour pudding mixture and chocolate crusthere we go from the freezer nice andfrozen I feel like it’s gonna overflow Idon’t know we’ll have to see[Music]that’s gonna be good might have a littleextra but that’s okay oh my gosh youguys I’m so excited I know you can’t seemy face but let me tell you smoosh itdown[Music]all right so I just went around theedges and smooth them out a little bit Iwill show you here in a second sorryabout the lighting guys I’m in mykitchen okay that is a lot of fillingbut you guys this is how I remember itwhen I was little and then we’re gonnaput this back into the freezer for onehour so the next step we’re going to bedoing is adding four teaspoons of coldwater into the bowl and then I’m goingto add one teaspoon of unflavoredgelatin[Music]and then I’m gonna let this sit forabout five minutes and while this issitting we’re gonna go ahead and makethe whipped cream topping now a tip thatI have for you if you guys have aKitchenAid mixer that has like a metalbowl is to go ahead and put it in thefreezer or stick it outside I live inWisconsin so that’s a natural freezerfor me okay so my stainless steel bowlnot metal like I said earlier stainlesssteel bowl I had outside so now it’snice and cold and what this is gonna dois help your heavy whipping cream turninto whipped cream all right and you’regonna use the same whisk attachment asbefore so we’re gonna put that in thereand if you guys hear any noise in thebackground is because my children are inthe living room and I put Frosty theSnowman on for them to keep themoccupied so in here you are going to addone cup of your heavy whipped creameight quarter cup of powdered sugar andone teaspoon of vanilla you’re gonna goahead and turn your mixer on to aboutmedium okay so this is starting to forminto whipped cream so now I’m going toslowly add in my gelatin mixture andthen I’m going to beat on high for 2minutes until stiff peaks form[Music]okay I hope you guys can see this butsee how it’s super like firm and it’snot gonna fall off like at all youreally want like this consistency sothat it’s easy to pipe on top of the pieso here’s our pie from the freezer I’mjust gonna set it over here to the sideand then we are gonna take our homemadewhipped cream and we are going to put itinto a Wilton like piping bag with a 2dstar tip on the end nowI have a tip for you get yourself a cupof any kind and then you’re gonna putthis side down and then kind of scrunchit down in here and you’re gonna fold itover the cup so that it makes it easierto scoop your whipped cream mixture intohere[Music]and slowly pull it up so that I canstart falling towards the bottom herekind of give it a shake now don’t judgebecause I have never I have never usedone of these before but I’ve watchedyoutube videos so we’ll see how thisgoesso I still have some in this bowl sowhat we’re gonna do is we’re gonnaattempt I’m gonna attempt to pipe starsall over the top of this okay hopefullythere’s girls well guys I have no ideawhat I’m doing it’s so cuteit’s going really well[Music]hope you guys can see this[Music]it’s not going to be perfect but it’shomemade so I guess that’s all thatmatters[Music][Music]okay I did not finish all of it yet butI’m hoping I can show you guys I did theedges oh not bad for my first time guysokay so now I’m just gonna go ahead andspeed it up and then do the top[Music][Music]okay guys how does it looklet me know down in the comments
