MAKE DUTCH PANCAKES WITH ME! | cooking fail & success

today we’re doing something so exciting
so I’m really hungry
I really missed the Dutch pancakes that
I have in Amsterdam filming it kind of
puts a pressure on me because I don’t
want to screw it up for the video so I
looked up a Dutch pancake recipe the
first thing that comes up is this Food
Network vanilla Dutch baby puffed
pancake recipe and it has a 4.7 star
rating out of 60 reviews so that’s
really good but the picture like doesn’t
look like the dust pancakes I had so the
next recipe was by New York Times Dutch
baby what the hell Dutch baby it don’t
eat baby
then there’s how to make a Dutch baby
pancake but that only has three stars
out of 392 reviews that’s bad but hey
pip cook pimp kick pancake pancake Dutch
pancake this has 5 stars from one person
so this could be really bad or it could
be really good or it could be anywhere
in between just some background
information if you don’t know this is a
thin pancake I’m just reading it off of
here I can be served sweet or savory
I love savory and sweet combination
syrups three people but I’m just making
this for myself you need 2 eggs 2 cups
of milk 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2 cups of
unbleached all-purpose flour and butter
for cooking okay
optional adding chopped bacon shredded
cheese mushrooms apples raisins cinnamon
sugar whatever you want go ham you know
add pan to it I might just stick to
bacon cheese and apples Oh sounds so
good Gouda would be good but I think I
had cheddar last time and I’m trying to
recreate what I had last time
all right let’s follow these
instructions and let’s go by like Vanna
you gotta use the chairs right here and
bring no this is so sad if you always
have apples that might know so I just
assumed we’d have that both you don’t
know about not illegal Apple whose
powers so it’s just gonna be a savory
pancake I don’t want to put raisins in
my pancakes so I’ve got all-purpose
flour is it unbleached it no it’s
bleached
is that bad we already do about the two
large egg got the Morton sea salt five
it’s fun tenor cheese and some bacon
which we’re gonna make the bacon first
because that’s how it should get excited
okay because we’re gonna get this show
on the road

oh my shirt I kind of wanted my bacon on
the less cooked side but it’s more like
super crispy really good but I hope

don’t know if I should move it around

what it should feel like the pant I
guess I’m kind of upset because I could
have just made more bacon like a normal
person at the same time I’m not gonna
eat more than this pancake this is gonna
be filling oh okay
no I didn’t put butter in the pan no no
I realize I never put the butter on yeah
let’s take a bite anyway yeah the
pancake batter is fine it’s not in a
pancake shape though but I want to cry
I’m about to get this syrup and then
make another pancake make more bacon cuz
I’m up and didn’t make my bacon ooh I
really thought oh my gosh I can’t deal
with myself and I’m hungry too it’s the
first thing I’ve eaten today okay I
don’t know how I managed
do that badly forget the butter I’m
going to redeem myself I will succeed
I’m cooking my bacon on top of that just
doing three words I don’t think I’m
gonna mess up something here let’s go I
just ate like pic so I’m about to fall
asleep – I’m really sad now hey so I’m
trying to collect myself and not lose my
mind because that was so pitiful I
didn’t put butter off so I put a huge
amount of butter on this griddle we’re
at like 350 degrees cooked my second
ground bacon perfectly I tried to wash
the pan but there was too much stuff
stuck so I couldn’t do that I am NOT
okay this experience was just lowered by
my work and so fast rated with my mother
and that is gross I mean talking about
me

wanted to cut it it’s so good I’ll roll
it like this much of it thirsty
I still have leftover batter so I can
make more pancakes I can go get apples

but that was so good for solving ten
minutes I really hated my life but this
was such a nice reward for my terrible
