Boston Crèam Pancake Recipe!

Delish Cookbook:


Cooking spray
1 cup pancake mix
1 cup boxed vanilla cake mix
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

1 (3.4-oz.) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups cold milk

3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup heavy cream

1. Lightly grease a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and set over medium heat. In a large bowl, whisk together pancake mix, cake mix, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Using a -cup measure, pour batter into pan to form pancakes. Cook until small bubbles form in batter and pancakes are lightly golden on both sides, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Repeat, regreasing pan when necessary.

1. In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk until combined. Let sit until set, 5 minutes.

1. Place chocolate chips in a medium heatproof bowl. Heat cream over medium-low heat until it starts to simmer. Pour over chocolate and let sit 5 minutes, then whisk until completely melted and combined.

1. Make four separate pancake stacks with a layer of pudding in between each pancake and drizzle each with ganache.

[Music]hi guys and welcome back to anotherepisode of cook mis where every day inDecember I’m posting a new recipe todayx’ recipe is Boston cream pancakes andoh my gosh it’s so good you’re going toput a cup of yellow cake batter in amixing bowl and one cup of pancake mixnext I’m going to add a cup of milkand 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanillaextract and that is your pancake batterand take a whisk and mix that up untileverything is really well combined andthen I set that aside and made the jellobecause jello typically takes about 5minutes or so to set up so I went aheadand did that next so I have a packet ofvanilla jello and two cups of cold milkjust gonna add those together and you dohave to whisk it for like two minutesand then you could just set it aside andthen it sets up and then my memory cardrecorded me making the pancakes but forsome reason when I uploaded it it gaveme an error so you don’t get to see meactually pouring the batter sorry aboutthat but I did use 1/4 cup measuringspoon that way the pancakes were as evenas possible so here they are I put themon a cooling rack while I was makingthem all then I heated up 3/4 cup ofheavy whipping cream and you’re gonnaheat that until it simmers and then youalso take 3/4 cup of semi-sweetchocolate and you’re gonna pour that onto it in a heat safe Bowl let it sitthere for 5 minutes and when the 5minutes is upyou can mix that together probablyshoulda used a whisk but a spoon doeswork it took about a minute or so andthen it started to get that really darkchocolaty color so that is your ganacheand once you have all three of thosethings you’re ready to start assemblingthe pancakesand I forgot to mention I got this froma delish cookbook and I will link itbelow I have so many good recipes thatI’ve posted from this cookbook it’swonderfulprobably one of my favorite cookbooks soyou’re just going to layer a pancakewith some jell-o pudding actuallypudding not jelloand then you’re just gonna keep doingthat and once you’re done you can addthe ganache on top and I think this made12 pancakes I believe so I did have alittle bit of the ganache left over sojust depends how much you use you couldprobably do like 1/2 a cup of thewhipping cream in chocolate if you wantto make a slightly smaller amount or youcan just reuse it to make whatever putit on plain pancakes or whatever you’dlike to do not gonna lie just eat somestraight out of the container becauseit’s so good but kids love these Chrislove them I love them love love lovethese pancakes you guys got to try themsuper easy and they’re deliciousthanks so much for watching bye guys
