so let’s get started hi everyone my nameis ELISA and this is the 5-foot testkitchen today we will be making the mintchocolate chip cookies from Lauren Allenon taste butter from scratch blog thisis the unhealthy version of the mintchocolate chip cookies so if you haven’talready seen the healthier version onWednesday go back and watch that video Iwill also tag it in the cards and downbelow this is the healthy versusunhealthy series that I’m doing for themonth of January so if you liked it makesure you subscribe and hit the likebutton and the notifications off so youcan see when I’m uploading even more ofthese healthy versus unhealthy recipesso for today’s recipe all you will needis flour baking soda and salt all inthis ball right here cocoa powder eggssugar butter vanilla extract and mintchips whichever version you like Iactually just got a box of Andes mintsand then chopped them all up because ourstore since it’s like the Sunday beforeChristmas that I’m filming this therewere no Andes mints to be found exceptfor in like the little box so I justchopped them up we’re good to go 12ounces of these to start off we aregoing to beat the eggs the sugar thebutter and the vanilla all in the mixeruntil it’s light and fluffy and makesure your butter is softened also beforeI start mixing this if you see me justthrowing things on the ground there’s atrash bag right there so that’s what I’mdoing there am I just throwing stuff onthe ground so we will mix this until itis light and fluffyyouall right so I think this is prettylight and fluffy let’s show you justlike the batter I want to take thisblack so now the pilot rest as some ofyou got when I do that it looks reallynice light and fluffy so now we aregoing to combine which we already didthe flour baking soda salt and then thecocoa powder so we are going to addthose in to this mixture and then we aregoing to mix thatall right let’s get this mixed I’m gonnaget my shield so this looks like toomuch for it to not make a messall right this smells lovely so now allwe have left are these Andes mints to bemixing in so I’m going to get this allscraped off and so that we can startmixing these in all right so I’ve gotthe beater all scraped off and now I’mready to add in these this is a nicethick dough like this is delicioussmelling there’s only like a little bitof chocolate in it there’s not even anymint yet but that looks so goodso have you guys know making theserecipes let me know in the comments downbelow which ones you’ve made and whatyou’re enjoying have you made thehealthy option have you made theunhealthy option let me know so this isall mixed up and I’m going to get theseonto some cookie sheets obviously all Ispeed that up like always you’re goingto want them and it says roundedteaspoons that seems very small for acookie so I probably is a tablespoon soput those on the cookie sheets and we’llbe good to go I guess I have most ofthese on cookie trays the rest is gonnahave to be done afterwards I ran out ofcookie trays and I won’t have enoughroom in my oven anyways so I’m going toput these in for eight to ten minutes Ihave so far I have 27 cookies for 29cookies my guess with how much it’sgonna be about 36 cookies are justpretty great to feel normal baking sheetsizes you should probably be able to getit in like three three sheets so alrightI’m gonna put these in the oven and thenwe are going to be good to go all rightso the cookies are out of the oven andso now we are going to do a taste testbetween the energy bags and the cookiesso just a reminder the energy breads arethe chocolate mint want to be a food blogger so badI’m trying so hard to up my Instagramgame so like always if you haven’talready started following me do thatbecause I do a lot of behind the scenesthat cookie is delicious if you guyshave been saamiya cookies nearby thesetastes like they’re mint chocolate chipcookies those are so goodI agree that these mint protein ballsare very good it’s really hard to beatmake chocolate chip cookies they’re sogood but these are very good theseprotein balls try another little bitethose are really good so if you reallylove mint chocolate chip cookies youreally should try these protein bossit’s a really great option for somethinga little bit healthierum I think you really will enjoy it it’snot going to be a mint chocolate chipcookie or Thin Mint or anything likethat but it will help you crave that orcurb that craving and as always I willmake sure to try to put the nutritionlabels or nutrition facts for this I’lltry to find them I’m not the best at allof
