hey guys and welcome back to anotherlet’s cook today I am actually trying tochannel my inner keke if you know whatI’m talking about and no I’m not talkingabout the pop singer I’m or whoever thatperson is that’s how I don’t payattention to pop culture yeah I’mhorrible but if you get that referenceyou can comment belowbut today we’re going to be making thesecookies right here they are actuallychocolate almond cookies yes now thereason I chose to do these cookies staysbecause one I have a ton of almonds thatI needed to use before they start kindof not tasting good anymore and I alsohave chocolate and all sorts of thingsgoing on as you can hear but yeah so themain thing about this actual cookie isthat it’s actually vegan yeah it’s avegan recipe but I’m not vegan and Ihave no vegan ingredients in myhousehold at all except for coconutflourI do have coconut flour I’ve used itlike three times and I still can’tfigure out how to quite use it yeah so Idon’t use that but I don’t have veganingredients in my household so I’mactually just gonna change it back intoa normal recipe yeah so it’s just aregular chocolate almond cookie it’s nota vegan recipe it could be all of theingredients here that make it vegan butI’m going to be changing them back intotheir original thing so like eitherflour or regular sugar real eggs thatkind of thing I’ve actually neverreversed processed from vegan to regularI have gone from regular to vegan beforebut I’ve never like done it the oppositeway so we’ll see how this actually turnsout but I’m excited I’mbeen having a really bad sweet toothlately and I hope this solves it okay Ihave all my ingredients here of course Ihave my almonds sugar brown sugar bakingsoda vanilla butter eggs and some cokeWow so this recipe does not call forflour and I’m actually kind of concernedthat it’s all going to pull togetherokay and we’ll actually see at the endif I need to add flour or not I’m veryskeptical I think I might need to add alittle bit but we’ll see if it’s gonnahold its form I’m not worried about itbut I don’t know right now okay so thefirst thing we wanted to do is of courseis to combine our wet ingredients whichin this case is our butter and sugarfirst and then we’re going to add theeggs and we’re going to add the vanillaand then we’ll move on from there okaywe’re gonna start with one cup of butterand yes I use a measuring cup to measuremine out because my butter here doesn’tcome in nice little prewhat-do-you-call-itpre-portioned packs or anything so yeahI have to measure mine out and we needhalf a cup of sugar I have chosen to usebrown light brown sugar not packed andyeah next we are going to mix all ofthis togetherone teaspoon of vanilla and yes I’m oldschool and I just use the cap next we’regonna add two eggs one and that’s it allwe have our cocoa that we’ll be usingwhich is 1/3 cup of coke WA 1/4 teaspoonof salt and 1 teaspoon of baking sodanow I’m just going to give that a quicklittle mix in here just to distributethat baking soda and then I’m just gonnaadd that not gonna lie I’m super nervousabout this being too wet okay here goesanythingand of course my worst fear has cometrue it’s too wet way way way too wet soI don’t know how the vegan recipe worksbecause there’s no flour on the veganrecipe at all so what I’m going to do isI want to add half a cup of just regularall-purpose flour and see how it goesfrom there after half a cup of hot we’lljust do a little bit after and continueuntil I get the consistency that I likeokay here’s starting out with half a cupof flour to start we’ll see how thisfares[Music]okayI think I got it to the consistency thatI want which is it really thick cookiedough like this now you’re supposed tobe able to roll this in your handsthat’s not going to be possible I’mpretty sure because of the natural oilsand things that you would be using inthe vegan recipe that it would bepossible but since I’m not it’sliterally not going to be possible toroll these unless I add so much flour toit that it’s going to taste gross soright now it still tastes really goodyum yum yumand yeah so what I’m going to do is addsome almonds so my almonds are here andwhat I’m going to do is I’m gonna use Idon’t know this is half a cup I’m goingto use a whole cup and use a whole cupof whole almonds and I’ve put them in abag because what I’m going to do is I’mgoing to smash them to create littlechunks and stuff because I don’t want toput it in the food processor because Idon’t want almond flourI just want to chunks of almond in mycookies now you may be wondering why ami down on the floor now all of a suddenbecause Mary is down here for onemessing with my pot and I’m actuallygonna use the pot she’s playing with topound out my almonds and maybe he canhelp me along the wayoh look at the ownerOh nahomens you see this see this we put itlike that now in the original recipe itactually calls for you to roll the doughinto a ball and then flatten it and thendip it into the almonds that neverhappened apparently with mine becausethere’s no way I can roll them in myhands like absolutely not and I don’thave like an ice cream scoop or cookiescoop or anything so I can just scoop itout maybe and then and put it directlyinto the almond mix and then roll itaround like that maybe yeah not gonnahappen so I’m just gonna add the almondsdirectly into the cooking[Music][Applause][Music]so I am more than positive that theseare going to spread like a lot probablyso I am going to prepare my baking sheetand preheat my oven to 350 degreesFahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius yeahand I think I’m going to cook them forabout we’ll try 10 minutes to start andthen after that we’ll see how it looksand cooks I am NOT looking hopeful forthese cookies they taste just likemousse and yeah this is just a big failI feel like we’ll find out here soon butI am NOT optimistic about this at allokay we have hit 10 minutes so let’stake them out of the oven and see whatthey look like I’m still quite nervousyeah we’ll see if they’re actuallycooked all the way as welloh my god well they actually turned outokay I’m so surprised let’s see ifthey’re done though you can kind of seehow it’s still a little inside so itneeds a little bit more time but I thinknot much though okay they have just comeout of the oven and yeah they lookedgreat look at this so good I am sosurprised and pleased by this but therewas no way I could actually roll that inmy hand and have it actually be a ballbut these look really good they tastedgood the batter at least and I actuallythink they’re going to be more cake likewhen I taste them but we’ll see let’stry one it let’s see yeah it’sdefinitely like a cake texture and I’mnot sure how I feel about that but you Imean there are such things as cakecookies but let’s tryyeah it’s definitely cake not a cookiein my opinion it is not a cookiesupersoft bill it’s just a cake withalmonds in it yeah quite disappointed inthat but I’m not sure what I wasexpecting trying to turn a vegan recipeinto a regular one but you never knowwhat you’re gonna getI mean they’re good cookies don’t get mewrong but they could be betterI’ll just have little mini cakes maybeI’ll make some frosting to put on atthem because I needs a little bitsomething extrawas that not being an actual cookie soyummyI love the crunch in it though the onlywere in this it would be I don’t thinkhalf as good because I almonds give itthat crunchiness now if I wanted I couldjust eat the dough as it is hmm I’m notafraid of raw eggs so Mary are they arethey approved by you yeahwell Mary likes them at least yeah youguessed it it didn’t stay up very longthey kept falling out but I tried and itit did the purpose I wanted it to dowhich was hold my hair out of my cookingso yeah but now I kind of like it likethis most because it looks like a chef’stie like Halloween idea hello hmmI just need a white jacket but I hopeyou guys enjoyed today’s videoMary loves the cookies I’m like a 5 outof 10on these cookies but that’s probablyjust because I had to add flour to itand I’m changing the recipe from a veganrecipe to a regular recipe so yeah
