[Music]
one room temperature egg 1/4 teaspoon of
salt one 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
and room temperature butter 3/4 so and
your choice if you want cookie cutters
all right let’s get started mixing
baking we’re going to put the
room-temperature butter and we’re going
to cream it for one minute so
and you don’t have to have a stand mixer
you can use any mixer
after it’s been a minute your butter
will be very smooth so just wait a
minute all right we’re ready to add our
sugar okay remember this is 3/4 cup of
sugar we’re going to beat this sugar
until it is light and fluffy like a
pillow and for about three or four
minutes
next we’re going to add our egg vanilla
and almond I’m adding my egg vanilla and
almond to my cream sugar mixture
yeah that’s done you’re just gonna mix
it go ahead and mix it I just love the
smell of the vanilla and honor it smells
so good
that should take about two minutes
you may have to scrape the sides of your
bowl because they will plump up and you
may then they’ll get like the wet
ingredients may get on the sides so the
blender cannot catch that now we’re
going to whisk these dry ingredients
together so we have 2 2 and 1/4 cup of
flour 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon
of baking powder so we’re gonna go ahead
and whisk all of those together start
with the flour it doesn’t matter if you
do it double it in a certain order I’m
just starting with the flour
so go ahead and whisk that together so
we’re going to use we’re gonna add about
half of our flour mixture into our wet
ingredients once that is all well folded
it you can add your other half I’ve
taken my dough and I have rolled it into
a bowl and I am about to like I took
about half of it and we’re gonna about
we’re gonna make it about a quarter inch
of an inch thick so let’s do that
this looks about right we are gonna go
chill it for about an hour and what that
does is it keeps it in place when you
bake it and so yeah an hour has passed
and I took both the cookie dough goes
out of the fridge and I preheated the
oven to 350 and now we are going to cut
the shapes out of the cookie dough
I’m gonna put these in the oven for nine
to twelve minutes and I’m starting out
with a small batch because I want to
make sure that I don’t have to redo it I
mean this is passed and they’re ready
and I’ve already done one and I really
like how the dog boats turned out and
not as much the Eiffel Tower but I bet I
can improve next time here’s the real
test how do they taste
I’m gonna get my brother in here and
we’re gonna see how they taste
hey gunner I would like you to try one
my cookies
that’s delicious thank you
