[Music]hi guys welcome back to shalese bakescakes today we’re gonna make some yummylemon sugar cookies I’m super excitedthis is a new recipe for me and I’m soexcited to see you guys to have it I’mwalking for it let’s see we need we’regonna put fresh lemon juice into ourcookies and I think that’s gonna make itso good I’m gonna use my zulay lemonsqueezer I love this because it’s somuch easier to squeeze the lemon juiceout of this and try to squeeze it withyour hand you see this just stick yourlemon right in here cut it in half stickit in I will squeeze it and we get lemonjuice so much easier to turn justsqueeze that lemon I’m excited to usethis from zulay kitchen and I’m ready towalk you guys through this fun recipe Ihave all the ingredients I’ll walk youthrough it and let’s make some lemonsugar cookies start by adding 1 and 1/2cup sugar to our Bowl here and then I’mgoing to zest two lemons and we’re gonnazest them into our sugar because if wezest them into our sugar and then we’llmix it around a little bit kind of pushthe lemon zest around the sugar it helpsthe lemon zest so this is what we’redoing first we’re gonna zest this intoour sugar and then we kind of mix itaround push it together without sugarand it will help and have that lemonflavor before we add the lemon juice nowthat we got our lemon zest it I’m justgonna put my fingers in here and kind ofpush it on with the sugar so it just cangetin there and blend it in with that sugarflavor that we’re going for[Music]okay now we’re gonna add three sticks ofbutter and we’ll blend that together[Music]eight now we’re going to add our sugarmixture that have the lemon zest in itone and a half cup of sugar[Music]we’ll add two eggsteaspoon of vanillaI’m also gonna add a cup of sour creamwe’ll mix this together then we’ll addour lemon juice[Music]okay now we are going to cut a lemon andhalf here[Music]don’t need a ton of juice cuz a lot oftimes it can put a plug juice and itwon’t destroy the consistency of yourcookies we’re not putting tons of juicewe’re just going a little bit high abouta tablespoon[Music]we’re also gonna add a tiny bit of lemonextract just to give it a flavors nowwe’ll blend it up and add the flourmixturefour teaspoons of baking powder now thatwe’ve added the flour you can see thatthe dough is a good consistency we’regonna put it in the fridge for abouttwenty to thirty minutes and then we’llroll them into balls now that our doughis nice and chilled we’re gonna roll thedough into balls put them on ourparchment paper on our jelly roll panand then we will pop them in the oven at350 for about 15 minutes we’re cookingthem a little bit longer because there’sthicker cookies so they need to becooked a little longer just watch themand when they kind of crinkle on topthat’s when you know that they are doneand ready to be pulled under the oven solet’s make the rest of these sugars okay[Music]could use a cookie scoop if you wouldlike I just like to roll them out builda dome make sure the consistency is whatI wantalso this lemon cookie dough is so goodthat I’m having a hard time not eatingit all before I get them baked[Music]okay well waiting for our cookies tobake I’m going to show you how easy itis to make a lemon glaze that we canjust put over the top of our lemon sugarcookies to start out we do one cup ofpowdered sugarI have sifted this powdered sugar sowe’re just going to put a cup ofpowdered sugar in here and then onceagain I’m going to use my lemon squeezerfrom zulay and we’re gonna we’re gonnasqueeze about one and a half lemons intoour other sugars look at that that is soeasy and so fun I love itsuper easy to clean tooso we are using 1 and 1/2 lemons in willsee if we want to do another[Music]then we’re gonna hit it with just alittle pinch up on lemon extract let’skind of throw it in there we’re gonnawhisk mix itif the glaze like you can see here it’sa little bit runny so if you want it tobe thicker then we just need to add alittle bit more powdered sugar to it andit’s really just whatever consistencyyou guys want in your glaze you can addas much powdered sugar or not as muchjust depending on what you guys wantlook at how easy that was to make lemonglaze[Music]all right there you have it our lemoncookies make some six super good youguys now it’s time to add our lemonglaze on our yummy lemon sugar cookiesall you do is just leave the glaze andthe measuring cup that we made it in andwe’re just going to use the whisk anddrizzle a lemon glaze on top so thesecookies are insanely good lemon sugarcookies with a lemon and drizzle glazeon top so good guysmy oldest son loves anything lemon sohe’s gonna be so excited when he getshome from school today super fun recipeeasy recipe I hope you guys go home andtry it in your kitchens I will post therecipe at the end of this videomake sure to subscribe to my channel andfollow me on Instagram it’s really bigcake now I gotta go with some morecookies out of the ovenhumming awesome day guys[Music]
