onSaturdaywith this mom’s group that I’m a part ofand I’m pretty excited because we aregoing to have a lot of cookies in thishouse but we’re gonna give some away aswe go and visit people throughout theholidays but I am making 10 dozencookies today actually I think 11 dozenbecause I wanted to make one extra dozenfor us to have some cookies at home cuzwe’re makin mama’s favorite type ofcookie huh what are you making s’moreswe’re making s’moresso we are going to get started on thatthere’s all different types of cookiesthat we’re gonna get some pretty excitedand we’re going to get ready we’re goingto eat some breakfastand we’re going to make cookies and thatis how our day is starting so this ishow to make cookies with a 1 year oldokay so we have all of our supplies outnow we have eggs we have butter all ofour measuring cups and spoons we gotsalt we got baking soda sugar vanillaextract brown sugar and marshmallowsflour graham crackersand chocolate bars that I startedbreaking you up and then we have ourKitchenAid mixer and we are ready tostart baking are you helping mama yougot your graham cracker yes take them upcouldn’t admit we need them are youhelping mamagood job by the way then high-fiveoh hi I don’t need those yet can we havethathigh-five good job so I wanted toactually show you guys making a batch ofthese cookies so I’m gonna go ahead andshow you what we need to do so I have myhope get some graham crackers broken uphere for us so what it calls for it is acup of graham crackerand you want to have two bowls and onefor your dry ingredients and then I’mactually using my mixing bowl for mylike my eggs and brown sugar and stufflike thatso we’re gonna go ahead and take a cupof the graham cracker put that in ourdry ingredients bowl here and I’m kindof OCD when it comes to stuff like thisI have it all in a line with itsmeasuring cups all there to say knowwhat amount of what goes next we have acup and 1/4 the water 1/4 1/4 back overhere and then we are going to take 1/2 ateaspoon of baking soda in there and 1/4teaspoon of salt if you are usingunsalted butter eat the recipe actuallysays to use 1/2 a teaspoon but I amusing salted butter so we are just using1/4 a teaspoon so put that therewhat you’re going to do next so my dryingredients in this bowl is you aregoing to go ahead and at least mix it upas best as you can here when youactually put it in the mixer it’ll makemore of ityou get the ideaok so going to okay next we are going todo our butter and egg and brown sugarso we’re going to I already pre softenthis up I have it sitting out but Iwasn’t soft enough so I go I went aheadand put it in the microwave for a fewminutes but you are using a half a cupof butter so that would be a whole stickof butter something I didn’t put this inhere[Music]one thought to follow over there half acup of brown sugar and then 1/3 a cup alittle regular sugar and then turn thisthe man what you are going to do in ityou are going to go ahead and just stirthis up so I’m going to put my mixerstand down lock it into place[Music]you can see it getting mixed up in thatI was actually using a differentattachment but I wanted to give thiswhen I try to see if it blended a littlebit easier so we got that mixed up inthere add one egg careful not to get anyshells in there very obsessive aboutwashing hands all right and then we aregoing to use one teaspoon of vanillaextract is up from his nap speak up manthat’ll help right here hi say I wastaking a nap I was sneezing so we aregoing to go ahead and mix that nowthe next thing we are going to do is weare going to add our dry ingredients andso remember that other bowl with theflour and the graham cracker andeverything so we’re gonna go ahead anddump that into our alright so we’regoing to go ahead just to mix it upblend it togetherso what we are going to do is you aregoing to spray your muffin tin with somecooking spray which I’ve already doneand then I am going to take a spoonfulright but the batter here make sure it’slike level on top whenever you do it sothat it cooks evenly and then you’ll beable to meet the little cup part once itcomes out any of it moves down okay sowe have our cookies already in ourmuffin tin ready to go so I’m gonna goahead and put these in the oven therecipe calls for about eight minutes butI noticed when I did my first batcheight minutes was like a tad not enoughso I’m gonna go for nine minutes so I’mgonna go ahead and set my timer and goahead and get the marshmallows on thechocolate right here so that we can putthose on when this comes out okay we’regonna pull them out for nine minutes andI’m gonna use a toothpick to kind oftest and seeit’s got a little bit so gooey in themiddle so I think I’m gonna put it infor another minute it’s so hard to tellsometimes I swear with oven time back intech so we put them in for anotherminute I’m not normally a baker seemslike it’s trial and error for me as faras seeing when things are done I amgoing to get ahead and take a teaspoonand I’m going to kind of just push alittle indent into my cookie so what I’mgoing to do once this cools a little isI’m going to put my marshmallow in it sothis is just go ahead and setting thatup so that I have a place to put mymarshmallow in came out alright so yougo ahead and get this ready um I’m gonnalet them cool for a few minutes before Iput the marshmallows on and then I’malso going to switch my oven over tobroiler so that I can toast themarshmallows okay so what I’m gonna donow is I’m going to take a wholemarshmallow and I’m going to cut it inhalf another little hack I found isthese like kitchen shears I thinkthey’re actually herb cutters and workperfect for cutting marshmallows in halfso go ahead and cut those guys in halfand then what I’m going to do is takethem and go ahead and put them in thelittle holes that we’ve made so go aheadand do that to all of these clappingwhat are you doing pulling all of thetrash bags out of the cupboards are youtrying to help mama clean up you’re sucha big help sometimes you just have topick your battles I suppose so wellClayton is doing that we have ourcookies in the toilet so the key is toget the lightly golden brown not quiteas dark as those ones but I just wantedto show you guys and some of the otherones here still look good so we willjust maybe save those ones for Bill ifhe wants them or get rid of those onessome people do like the burntmarshmallows but the idea was to havethem just slightly toasted just likethat so this is almost pinterest filledbut let me show you guys some of theother ones that we made already from ourfirst batch see a tote you can see thatthey’re toasted not quite as much as theones that just came out of the oven butthen we’re going to top them with thechocolate bars so yes so these are ours’mores cookies are you on the cleanupcrew this kid loves this sweetgood job by cleaning up the floor forMama[Music]good job alright guys so finally got allthose cookies done I think it literallytook me all day to get them done but weare little man playing mama spots on theend okay guys so we finally got thecookies done so I’m gonna just show youguys all the cookies so you could seethem as you can see hang ran out of thelittle Hershey’s chocolate bar so theseones are actually for us they don’t lookas appealing but you get the idea itstill has the chocolate marshmallow inthe cookie itself so some of them darkcooked a little bit more in the boilerthan others it seems like what was inthe middle of the pangot a little darker faster so yeah wedid the best that we could do so I’mgonna get these packaged upI’m putting six species in each bag so Iwill check back in with you guys when Iget them all packaged up I wanted toshow you guys all the cookies that wegot from the cookie exchange so we gotsome of these cookies and cream withOreos they are so good some sugarcookies chocolate covered everythingor here’s marshmallows ice krispietreats pretzels I’m not sure what theseare but it looks like they have somecaramel and chocolate they look amazingso I’m excited for those I haven’tconsolidated all these yet so they’restill kind of just in their bags we gotit’s hard to tell and they’re probablygot chocolate chip cookies no chocolatecovered pretzels and chocolate-coveredOreos in there and then these up we gotsome peppermint red velvet in thereI’m not sure what these are you guys butthat a white powdered felt like a littlemini lady locks or what but they lookgood and everybody did such a good jobwith all their little packages for thecookie exchange you didn’t get a chanceto show you guys all my packages butthese ones were in mind these were mesome more cookies that you guys saw memake but this was our package we haveBuckeyes these are like Santa and that Ibetter stay seriously this is likePinterest success right here mine isnever a Pinterest success but that isperfect I’m not sure what these ones areeither but they look like they gotchocolate and powdered sugar on them aswell I I do have all the names of allthe cookies but that’s there’s some morecookies in there you these aresnickerdoodles yeah we got somesnickerdoodles in there and we got thepeanut butter blossoms and the ones thatthey’re easy stops in the middle sothere were all of our cookies there werethere were 18 of us that actuallyexchanged
