welcome back to the kitchen today we’recooking peanut butter cookies okaypeanut butter cookies today’s recipecomes out of Cook’s Illustrated magazineI really like this magazine because I’mnot a baker when I bake I tend to needactually a recipe but what Cook’sIllustrated is done is for guys like mewho just like keep things simple intheir heads I’ve actually kind of laidout the proportions two parts peanutbutter three parts flour one part butteractually a bit less and in case you’rewondering the sugar is somewhere betweenthis amount and this amount depending onwhat you like you’re keeping yourcookies you want a really sweet or notso we’re going to be following thisbecause this is a recipe I will type upthe proportions in the description justkeep in mind when I’m making today is atest batch and so it’s gonna be a bitsmaller than the recipe alright firstthing we do we take our one portionbutter melt in two portions peanutbutter three portions oops that’s notflour this is sugar about the sameamount of sugar and then three portionsof five and we mix that together in abowl with spoonful of honey a little bitof vanilla and some sea salt okay floursugar and fit us all peanut butter hereit is[Music]all right there you gojust a little bit of baking soda ateaspoon and we’ve got an egg so we’regonna mix this egg with a little bit ofhoney and Noah and some melted butter[Music]who I’m getting all stickier funny thingabout this honey you don’t have honey’sthese cookies will be sweet enough but Ithink actually the funny is the tastethat you’re gonna expect in the cookiesall right for some reason when I mixthis it always ends up being a littlebit too hard it’s too dry so I added upjust a splash of water get it this kindof doughy but not very runny at all aconsistency okay so we’re gonna justtake this and form it with our hands ora spoon into a little ball on top ofsome parchment paper okay so here we goand you can see this is a very smallbatch it’s cuz I’m testing out someraisins and chocolate chip varieties youdon’t have to do this normal cookieslike this wouldn’t have raisins andchocolate chips these are just peanutbutter cookies right supposed to tastelike peanut butter salt and earth butwe’re trying this after day all right soonce you’ve got your doughy balls kindof smushed down into these littlepancakes we’re just gonna stick thisinto the middle okay preheated 350degree ovenokay when these come out of the oventhey look like this chocolate risenlet’s give this a shotthis takes about ten minutes maybetwelve if you have large cookies in a350 degree oven I’ll just take that backso this should be a little bit soft inthe middle a little bit moist lot of fatin here not that much moister sugar youobviously but not too much a littlesplash of vanilla and honey this isreally good alright I hope you like thisI hope you like the cookies once youmake them and when you’re eating themgive me a thumbs up if you do click thesubscribe button if you’re a newsubscriber let me know in the commentsif you like this type of cookie someother types what do you think about itin general and then join me next timewhen busy dad is ok it’s not how we gotraisin and chocolate chip ah when do youwant have one that one later just okay[Music]
