hey everyone
in this video we’re going to be making
melting moments cookies super delicious
super buttery nice amount of sugar just
you can never get enough for starters
we’re gonna take the dry ingredients and
mix it together evenly and then we’re
going to go ahead and start to do the
creaming process you make cookies the
creaming process is one of those
important keys to getting it right
we have diced butter and powdered sugar
and now I’m gonna go ahead and mix this
and you want to mix this until the
butter softens enlightens up in color
and it is light airy you’ll know it’s
done when all of the butter kind of
sticks to the bowl go ahead and add the
vanilla and then right before I’m done
in the process I am gonna scrape the
bowl because it’s important to all those
little outside pieces you want to bring
back into the fold as you’re working in
the mix so the creaming is done we’re
gonna add the dry into the cream butter
and sugar and at this point I just want
to bring the flour butter mixture
together evenly you’re not trying to
really heavily beat this because if you
do you run the risk of overworking the
dough it’s just come together I’m gonna
scrape this down and when you’re making
this at home this is the point where you
want to take it and refrigerate it so
that it can firm up again
once the batter or the cookie dough is
now firmed up then we’re gonna go in and
you go and make your little balls and
I’m trying to make nice wrong ones
because the goal that I have is when I
bake these the rounder they get they’re
easy are they to rolling the sugar and
then they look like little tiny I guess
little like maybe golf balls well go
ahead and put them into a 350 degree
oven and bake them about 12 minutes and
you’ll know they’re done when the edges
of the cookies are lightly browned you
really want to let the cookies cool off
all the way before you roll them in the
sugar because if they’re still warm
they actually melt the sugar and they
come so these have cooled off completely
and now I’m just gonna lightly roll them
into the sugar just to dust them so now
they’re happy little round balls coated
with a little dusting of powdered sugar
melting moment cookies are just one of
those things that I remember growing up
with and at some point you didn’t really
see them anymore and occasionally you
know you had an ad that would make them
and everyone won’t like waits for them
to come and it just everyone fights over
them so we we research we we found the
bunch of recipes we tested them we found
what we thought is exactly the one that
I remembered meeting and when you bite
into one of these you know you taste
butter and it’s crispy and there’s a
little sweetness and the powdered sugar
and it’s just it’s just really really
delicious you know they’re really really
great with with coffee
so epple not I don’t think I can wait
any longer so we’re gonna I’m gonna
invite it to one of these but to just
just remember you’ve got powdered sugar
on your fingers and and enjoy the final
one too late after you but
