hello okay so this is ad Ramsey Oh to be
the handcraft soap and I’m getting ready
to make a Linzer dough and for the
filling it’s going to have some fig
preserve whoops lens our dough it’s just
a cookie and you can’t make the Italian
cookies this is like a my rendition of a
towel an Italian cookie made with FIGS
so we’re using a little bit of butter
and if this package looks a little
smaller than the American version you’re
right because this is the this is some
Mexican butter so I’m going to put
everything in here and cream it together
put a little bit of vanilla just a dog
here a little bit almond and a little
bit of line or you can use the moment of
course
and you really should crack your eggs
into a separate bowl just in case it has
something crazy going on with it I’m
just gonna mix this all together and of
course you can use a beater but because
this is such a small amount I can just
eat this with my hand
this is quickly and having a nice creamy
consistency and in this bowl we have we
have some flour cinnamon nutmeg and just
a little bit of salt and I’m going to
mix the dry into the wet and spread it
around and just one two three four five
six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve
sixteen eighteen nineteen twenty seven
eight 29 30 31 32 33 34
five six seven eight nine forty one two
three four forty five six seven eight or
nine
that’s my magic number 50 once you get
to 50 that’s it you can’t mess with it
or anything I don’t know maybe that’s
just old wives tale who knows but I only
start cooking though and those 50 times
that’s it
now I’m gonna put a little bit of flour
turn this out over here see how it’s
nice and crumbly now of course you could
let this sit in the refrigerator but I’m
gonna chill it after I roll it out well
not even really won’t ya give it a
little bit of a roll and that’s all that
the butter doesn’t run out
a few specks of cinnamon and you can
roll this out super thin and you know
put it in the bottom of a pan and then
put the big preserves on top and then
put another layer on top of that but
this won’t be that fancy once you have
it rolled out and if this is a pie dough
I would roll in turn but since this is
just for cookies press one out that’s
your bottom press another one out that’s
gonna represent your top and just press
just a little hole pop that out and
that’s how the cookie you’ll put the
filling here and then this will go on
top and we’re going to give it a little
egg wash aka yogurt because I don’t have
any milk and let’s see just a little bit
of the feeling just like that and then
you put the top on top easy easy peasy
we’ll put these in the refrigerator and
let them chill and I’ll bring you back
once we start cooking them so we have
let the cookie set in the refrigerator
for an hour and we’re going to wait for
the right on time so we’re going to put
them in a 400 degree oven for about 10
minutes and see what happened the P
other reasons don’t just slide them off
of here you see they have just a little
bit of color on the bottom and if you
wanted to have more color you could put
a egg white wash on top but I didn’t I
just wanted it to be a blonde and we
will put them on the cooling rack here
wait for them to cool off and enjoy

now if you want to have a more chewier
texture just don’t let them sit in as
long but I like my cookie since it
already has that nice soft Center
I like the cookie part to be a little
more textured and don’t throw away your
parchment paper because there’s nothing
wrong with it just wipe it off and reuse
it this has been our little Lenser dough
