alright folks today I’m going to showyou how to make chocolate chip cookiesor should I say Chocolate Chunk cookiesas I’m using an actual chocolate barrather than chocolate chips anyway ifyou’re getting started to baking it orjust fancy you making some cookies thegood news is that there are not too manyingredients and it doesn’t take too longto make and the results are reallyrewardingso ingredients wise we’re gonna need twoeggs room-temperature if possible alsogonna add some sugar 1/3 of a cup ofwhite granite or sugar and we’ll alsohave some brown sugar 3/4 of a cup whichwill give the cookie a bit more chewytexture we’re also gonna add somevanilla extract 2 teaspoons to be exactand actually looking at it it kind oflooks like whisky but I assure you it’svanilla extract don’t to the dryingredients we’re gonna need 1 cup ofall-purpose or plain flour and myattempt to make things all healthier I’madding half a cup of both flour just soit’s blended you don’t have any aidsfeel free to substitute this with aplain flour also going to throw in somebaby powder as well half a teaspoon andalso half a teaspoon of kosher salt asan optional extra I’m adding cinnamon aswell which is just 1/2 teaspoon shouldbe enough and now for the chocolate I’musing 80% dark I’m a huge dark chocolatefan but this is a part we can addwhatever type of chocolate you likewhatever you fancy just get the goodstuff as it really didn’t make adifference now with the bar we’re gonnahave to break it up into rough sizablechunks not too big not too small you’dhave to be perfect just get them intosmall chunks so let’s set the chocolateaside and we’ll use that lateroh and almost forgot we’re gonna needsome butter behalf a cup of unsaltedbutter should be enough that was firstthing we need to do is melt the butterif you have a microwave feel free to usethat or just heating on the hob herewhen it starts Bob like this it’s a goodtime to take it off the heat and thecoldwhilst butter is cooling we’ll start bycombining the dry ingredients we’ll addthe flour first then the oats bakingpowder as well and the salt will you usea small whisk and give those ingredientsfor whiskoh and the cinnamon goes in as wellalmost forgot that and give that anothermix as wellso let’s set aside the dry ingredientsmove on to the wet ingredients wet thebrown and white sugar and I just want touse a whisk to make sure there are nolarge lumps of brown sugar I can use ahand whisk but I bet you’ve got one ofthe electric ones too making life a loteasieroh and top tip throwing at our button abulb to perentie from standing so wegive the sugar a good old beating andwhen the brown sugar bits are brokendown or start to add the cooled downbutter slowly we’ll continue to givethat a mix and then we’ll crack two eggsnow I’ve seen recipes add one egg andone egg yolk to be honestI’ll just bit lazy as I didn’t want todo the extra white part so I’m justthrowing in both eggs once that’s allmixed in we’ll start to add in thevanilla extract once all the ingredientsare cooperated and you start to get acreamy texture it’s a good time to addthe dry ingredients just be careful heretry to have big dry ingredients andbatches I’m doing in three batches makesit a little easier to mix as well whenall the flour is mixed in and you get aneven thicker creamier mixture you canstart add the chocolate chunks wechopped up earliernow we can just use a spatula woodenspoon here to mix in the truckload oncethe chocolate is mixed in it’s time toput in the fridge to chill anyway from2030 minutes is good enough yeah so Ileft wait for 24 hoursdon’t make sure might be a little bittough that’s a good sign I’m using anice cream scoop to scoop it out now ifthe dough is a bit too tough feel freeto leave it out at room temperature forfive or ten minutes or so now is a goodtime to pre-heat the oven at 180 degreesCelsius or 350 five degrees Fahrenheitas you can see I have a baking traylined with some baking paper orparchment paper so the cookies don’tstick to the baking tray now each cubeor doesn’t it be a perfect for justtrying to make each one of equal size sothey could even be sure to give eachcookie some dose of space and they don’tstick together and now it’s time to putthem in the preheated oven after allthat hard work you should be rewardedwith some gorgeous looking and smellingcookies now depending how you like themI like them a little soft in the centerbut if you like them a bit crunchy feelfree to put them in the oven for a bitlonger asking you to do is taking offthe baking tray onto a cooling rack youcan enjoy them onto a cold whichever youpreferjust want to say thanks for watching andsee you in the next one[Music][Music]
