we are making sugar cookies whip up my butter a
little bit before I add the sugar it ismelting a little bit because I just rinsed this out with hot water. A cup of sugar then we’re gonna
mix that together until it’s fluffy. You can see it’s starting to come togetherI have had a few times where it didn’t come togetherso it starts coming off the sides of the bowl, and then, it’s done. I
have had a few times where it didn’tcome together like this and it kind of
kept looking like all the small piecesit was probably just because I had a
little too much flour so I just added alittle bit of water until it started
coming together just a tiny bit not toomuch and it was perfect and this just
came straight out of the bowl so I’mjust gonna knead it up just knead it
just a little bit so I just roll out alittle bit at a time and then add back
to it and I do use these guides on myrolling pin to get out an even thickness
the white ones are the thickest onesthat came in the pack I got at Hobby
Lobby this is the next size and I meaneither ones great so I’m just gonna use
these because I’ll get more cookies outof it we’re just gonna decorate those
with some friends so that’ll be perfectuse the pink ones and this is my rolling
pin I don’t even have to use flour orparchment paper or anything this recipe
another reason I love it is it’sso easy to roll out I don’t have to use
anything. It doesn’t really stick to the rolling pinit’s got enough grease on it’s own I guess so I just roll it out on apiece of parchment paper this isn’t
necessarily a Christmas cookie cutterbut but I have a plan for this I can’t
tell you about it because it’s a secret then we aregonna do Christmas cookies so I’m gonna cut some
Christmas treesyou can use plastic cutters or the metal
cutters whichever metal cutters get asharper edge on them but I mean a lot of
times you wouldn’t even noticethe difference she likes to mix up her own. I’m just
gonna put these up on a piece ofparchment paper that looks awful I can’t ever get it to come off straight so Ibake the cookies on the parchment paper
it keeps the bottoms from browningas much and seven minutes in my oven I’ve
just kind of experimented with it soseven minutes in my oven is perfect
so I’ll just get these in set my timerbecause I always forget if I don’t set
the timer and they come up so easy youdon’t have to chill this cookie dough or
anything
