Chocolate Crinkles are actually chocolate dough rolled over powdered sugar and baked that gives the cracked texture fr the cookies.
Crinkles are the easy-peasy cookies to make. The dough is bit sticky; chilling it for at least 2 Hrs helps to shape the dough well.
Quantity of Baking Powder used has an important role in the texture of the crinkles. In this recipe I have used 1/2 tspn of Baking powder that gives a chewy texture and flat cookies. If we use 1/2 Tbspn of Baking soda, it gives a cake like texture and bulged cookies.
Baking time is also an important aspect while baking crinkles. Depending up on oven brands, 8-10 minutes if fine. Over baking will end up in dried texture. Its always better to keep an eye after 8 minutes.
