what’s going on air by this is Patriceand I’m back in the kitchen and I’mabout to make an OD and some of you mayor may not know what this is okay theseare some Chicago Public School cookiesI’m about to make yep that’s what mustmake public school cookies but see forthose that’s uh that’s from Chicago fromback in the bagsI don’t know how it is never back Mondaythese were some of the best cookies thatyou can find in worse put Mackenziebutter cookies okay so rear button youdon’t up in here and do this I know I’mnot fully on the screen but I have youright in front of the ingredients thatwe’re gonna use and believe it or notit’s only four ingredients well I add afifth one I’m gonna tell you about thatin a minute okay so we’re about to getstartedso welcome to pinch of soul cooking sohere we goyou’re gonna need 1 cup of butter okaynow the ingredient actually calledforearm salted butter but this isunsalted so that’s why I say oops that’swhat’s that’s gonna be 5 because we’regonna add just I mean I said touch upsalt like a pinch I mean literally asmall little pinch of salt okay we alsohave a half a cup of sugar 2 cups ofall-purpose flour and we’re gonna alsoput in some vanilla extract just 1tablespoon and we’re gonna go ahead andget that started to this mixer alrightso that’s it going alright so here we goup you’re gonna go ahead and get thisbutter in here because you don’t be gotto actually cream the butter and thesugar together ok so let me get thisbutter down into here and I got a realclose up because I won’t try to give asee what’s going on inside of thismixing bowl ok so that’s 1/2 a cup ofbutter and this is gonna make it a fullcup of butter and the thing is we’re notgonna mix a whole lot okay because we’reyou’re messing with butter so it’s gonnamelt if we do all you know toomixing a alright sup get that part inthere and then we’re gonna go ahead andadd in this half a cup of sugar okay solet’s get that started me grab myscraper so we can make sure we get thoseoff the edge okay so let’s go ahead andget that started lock that in place andall rightget that door there now I’d be able tospray down these sides okay looks like amedium-high if you can get that mixed intogether all right now I’m gonnagradually add in some flour okay sothere we go get that in there and whilethat’s going I’m gonna add in thisvanilla okay so that that part I meanone tablespoon of vanilla is going intheregolet’s in there and it smells amazingalreadyhey I’m adding some more flour as it’sgoing Oh poop okayyes that one I’m gonna add in some moreflour go we’re gonna bring this up alittle feet real quick hey y’all that’spretty much it for that we’re done okayso we’re gonna go ahead and raise thisup and get all the goodness off of thereand then we’re gonna start scooping thisout so let me just get all this off ofhere and move you all to the bakingsheet got to add in a saltain’t that something y’all lock thatback in place and we’ve got a perm I saya teeny easy big that’s it that’s hotit’s going in there that was like asmall pinch small small small pinch okayso that’s a good headache that stirredup real quickthat’s it that’s all we need it becausewe don’t want to overwork that butterokay so back up again there we go we’regonna go ahead and scrape all this offof here that’s all we needy’all know there was no Exodus no eggsat all right all right let’s move thisover and start scooping it out onto thesheet pan all right so I got the sheetpan here now no I can’t really see thecookies but this is the dough I’m aboutto start picking it out now you needyour hands to be really clean for thispark’ also we’re gonna take a little bityou don’t put it down like this like soall rightI don’t want to get in the ball shapeokay now here’s what we’re gonna do withtheseit’s a godmom kinda like an ax bar Iwant to rub it between my fingers toomuch either my hands which one do wewant to get you down press down on themit kind of mateit’s your fingers in there like thatokay we’d like to say we don’t want tooverwork them because I put these twotogether they make a bigger ball becauseof the butter okay yeah I’m not surewhere my video cut off that I reallydon’t know it keeps cutting off on mebut this is what it’s looking like okayso make sure of the animation your handswill claim you do this okay this is whatits gonna look like when it comes out sowe’re gonna put this in the oven at 375degrees okay for about 15 minutes I’m sosorry my video keeps cutting off I thinkit’s because I’m using away too much orchopping all right so this is it go inthe oven and we’ll see what in the fightwhen we come back all right our cookiesare out the oven and they look amazingthey look just likepublic school cookies alright so we’regonna go ahead and put those on thiscookie sheet so they can go ahead andcool offhey I got a paper towel under that arekind of care strums in the case andcrumbs come off but yes and I still havesome more to put in here but these aredone I got a little bit more dough andwe’re gonna do the other dog but oncethese cool all the way off I’m gonnahave my mom come and stamp won’t evenlet me know how I did yeah young uh-ohlisten a.m. take out some big smells sogoodthey smell like those cookies too mmmyes your girls in here cooking somethingyou tell you some dining I’ll play myfangs no bacon but your girl can do alittle something-something in thekitchen all right we’ll come back andwe’ll have her a taste test these whenthey cool down back all rightand we’re back we about to have thistaste test going on to see if I masteredthe Chicago Public School butter cookiesokay so I have my daughter’s my son andmy mother they’re gonna come over hereand snatch up a cookie and tell me whatthey think so go ahead wait wait one ata time you’re handling the boy okayso we’re gonna go ahead and everybodygrab them cookie mama firstmama get to go first because sherequested these cookies dan tani surecuz she also requested cookies go aheadget your side go here tree tree reallythey’re soft they’re supposed to besolved what you mean I’m gonna say thatsometimes I make hard cookies and theydon’t cut all right so they even havethis nice color around them thefingerprint down in themthat’s yeah but it’s a certain flavorfor Chicago what I’d neverseedo not act look I ain’t even here to befour just like it’s a bunch of it butit’s about the Chicago flavor so Oh Nomama let me no no no I’m sorry I’m alsorecording on Facebook by the way theseare so freakin goodhmm I’m putting a face in there yep shesmelled him
