HOW TO MAKE AMAZING GRAIN FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!

Today’s ingredient list:
1 cup butter
4 eggs
2 cups raw turbinado sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 teaspoons sea salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 Tablespoon bourban vanilla extract
3 cups almond flour
1 cup coconut flour
1 12oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

original:
1 cup crisco
4 eggs
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 Tablespoon imitation vanilla extract
4 cups all purpose flour
1 12 oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

hello everyone and welcome to my channelI’m so happy you’re here I actually wasworking on another video this morningand I realized well I didn’t realize butI got notified that I don’t have to worktonight because it is so windy here inNew England today but I got inspired todo a little baking video today so Idefinitely I’m gonna go and put on mypretty skirt that I made and make somecookies so I’m gonna take you along withme while I do that and I think I’m gonnado a little like kitchen cleaning firstso that we start with a nice clean flakeI feel very ready to be in June Cleavermode for a while now pearls andeverything[Music]the cookies I’m going to be making todayare a recipe that has been circulatingaround my family and it’s my auntCarol’s chocolate chip cookies so thisis my favorite chocolate chip cookierecipe these are the ones that I like tomake the best and since I haven’t beenable to tolerate flour very well latelyI’m gonna try them using almond flourinstead of regular flour so at the endwe’ll have a taste test and I will letyou know if it’s a thumbs-up or athumbs-down I’m gonna preheat the ovento 350 I am actually going to go up to365 because my oven is cold right nowI’m just assembling all of myingredients I like to get everything outso I know for sure I have all of myingredients and I also like to make sureI don’t forget to add anything in thatneeds to be in the mix I’m gonna startwith my butter now the original recipecalls for Crisco but I don’t really liketo use that anymore so I guess that’sthe first substitution that I’m doingand coincidentally the amount that comesin the package is exactly the amountthat I needed so I don’t even have tomeasure that’s the other good thingabout it I’m gonna add four eggs and Ihave a little Bowl off to the side herewith my stuff’s that I need to throwaway so I’m just gonna add to that as Iget my ingredients batted in next I’mgoing to add two cups of regular sugarand one cup of brown sugarnext I’m going to add three teaspoons ofsea salt or salt any salt will workthree teaspoons of salt two teaspoons ofbaking soda and one tablespoon ofvanilla extract the original recipecalls for imitation vanilla extract butthis is what I have so this is whatwe’re going to use[Music]now that I have everything but my flourand my chocolate chips mixed in or notmixed in but added to this bowl I’mgonna use a hand mixer to mix ittogether I did not have a KitchenAid soI’m not going to use one but I do havethis mixer that I got for free for mymom and it’s really old and it looksdirty but it’s clean because it’s old[Music]I need to take a moment to first of allgear up for stirring in the flourbecause stirring in the flour is theonly reason you will ever come up withto keep you from making these cookiesthis is the hardest part of the jobit takes some arm strength and it’sreally hard I’m not sure if the almondflour which I’m using today is going tobe any better I hope they’re deliciousif they’re not delicious I’m gonna bepretty disappointed but we have to tryto find out[Music]I have my cookie dough all ready to go Ijust tried it actually and it tastespretty close to the original recipe it’sjust the texture is just a little bitdifferent but I think that might improvein the oven so I’m hoping that’s whathappens and now I’m going to scoop somespoonfuls of a cookie dough on thecookie sheet this is my favorite way todo that it’s like a little mini icecream scoop and I use a cup of hot waterhere I dip it in the hot water and itkeeps it from getting like too doughyand having everything they just came outof the oven and they look good I’m gonnalet them cool off and then I’m gonna getmr. O’Brien out here and he and I aregonna do a little taste test slashreview now I just took these cookies outof the oven and this is my husband Chrisand he knows what these cookies aresupposed to taste like how many times doyou think you’ve had these a coupletimes couple times so he’s had these acouple times a year probably since wemet so I don’t make them very often buthe does know what they’re supposed totaste like and he’s gonna give me anhonest answer about the taste of theseand I’m gonna give my feedback to theiryou gotta get them while they’re warmokaydelicious they’re just as good you guysthat is great newsnice clear a little there are a littleskinny when I make these with regularflour they tend to fluff up a little bitlike a little cake or something theseare a little more flat but I kind oflike that they’re really yummy andbuttery now I wouldn’t have any cluethey were made with traditionalingredients you wouldn’t aunt Carol goodnews these work with almond flour tooand that’s a little bit of a lie becauseI’ve used about three cups of almondflour and then I ran out of almond flourso I ended up using a cup of coconutflour but I think I’m gonna stick tothat okay yummy oh it’s gone I’m gonnaturn off the camera so I can eat fivevideos and you won’t judge me I reallyhope this video helped you out if youare sensitive to traditional flour thankyou so much for watching this video goahead and hit like if you enjoyed it andsubscribe to my channel if you wouldlike to see more of my home makingcontent have a great dayCheers
