How to bake sugar cookies (made easy)



Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated white sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients:
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Procedure:

1. In a large bowl, combine butter and sugar. You can use a hand mixer on high speed or a stand mixer user a paddle attachment.
2. Add the egg (gradually) and the vanilla extract.
3. Combine all the dry ingredients and add it to the dough mixture (divide into 2 or 3 cups)
4. Make sure all the ingredients are combined. Using a cling wrap, transfer the dough and cover.
5. Chill inside the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
6. Remove the dough from the fridge and let sit to room temperature for few minutes to soften.
7. Roll out the cookie dough with a rolling pin. Make sure it’s 1/4 inches thick or depending on your choice.
8. Using cookie cutter of your choice, cut it out and put it on the tray with baking sheets. Put it inside the fridge for at least 20 minutes.
9. Preheat the oven to 180 C and bake the cookie for 10-12 minimum or until it starts to turn golden brown.
10. Remove it from the oven and let it cool before transferring to a wire rack.
11. You can decorate it using royal icing.
12. Serve and enjoy!

hello everyone today we’re going to makesugar cookies and we’re going to make itas easy as we can this is perfect forholidays like Christmas or evenHalloween I think your kids will likethis cookies as much as I do we’re goingto start with the ingredients you canscreenshot the screen or you can alsowrite it down on a piece of paper it isa better to prepare all the ingredientsfirst before making the dough so for meI always make sure that I have all theingredients with me so that it will beeasier for me to do the preparation andto go on with the procedure I have heretwo large eggs and also one in 1/2 cupsoff unsalted butter softened and also weneed a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extractsir we can also use vanilla essence ifyou want and also 1 and 1/2 cups ofgranulated white sugar and 3 and 1/2cups of all-purpose flour so here I’mgoing to use this mixer so we’re goingto use a paddle attachment it would beeasier firm for for you to make thedough if you’re going to use this but ifyou have a hand mixer you can also useit if you wantokay so let’s start with our cookiedough and I just put my softened butterin a large bowl you just have to makesure that the butter is in roomtemperature and now you can add thegranulated white sugar so I dress it Ijust add it gradually mix together forabout five minutes or until it’s fluffyand the sugar is mostly dissolve and nowlet’s add the eggs so I just add the eggone at a time and make sure that youscrape down all the sides of the bowl[Music]now let’s add one and a half teaspoonsof vanilla extract you can also usevanilla essence if you want for our dryingredients combine 3ne 1/2 cups ofall-purpose flour 1 teaspoon of salt and1/2 teaspoon of baking powdermake sure you sift it the flour toremove all the lumps incorporate all theflour here I didn’t put all the flour inone but I actually divide it into two orthree parts just to make sure that it isall incorporated in our door and alsodon’t forget to scrape all the sides[Music]now we’re almost done we’ll be using aclean wrap here because it would beeasier for us to form our dough so weneed to transfer our duo from this mixerto our clean wrap it looks like I’mkneading the dough but actually I’m notI just want to put everything togetherand later on we’re going to cover thedough with this clean wrap okay so whileweirdo is already done so I’ll justcover it with this cling wrap and thenI’ll just chill it inside the fridge forat least two hours or you can also putit inside the fridge overnightI think it would be better if you put itovernight after two hours you can rollit using your rolling pin and make sureyou dust it with flour using– cookiecutters of your choice and some extraflour cut out shapes from the Daryllgather any excess dough into a ball andchill it in the fridge to firm and thenlater on you can roll it and then cutout more keys what I did here is that Imean I put this first inside fridge forat least 20 minutes to firm before Ipreheat my oven to 180c centigrade Ialso made this cute little finger sinceit’s Halloweenafter 20 minutes make sure you alreadypreheated our oven and then we’re goingto bake this cookies in 180 degreesCelsius for about 10 to 12 minutes andit’s done make sure you cool itcompletely on a wire rack before servingit to your children thank you forwatching[Music]
