[Music]hi guys welcome back to our Channelso I found a recipe on the internet lastnight that sounded amazing so I wantedto give it a try we’re trying to eathealthier in the new year so this recipeis called an almond joy breakfast cookieit sounds like dessert to me I don’tknow if I’d eat it for breakfast butwe’ve got one banana which I’ve mashedand the recipe calls for a half a cup ofcoconut oil but I decided to do half anda half coconut oil and vegan butter Ithought it might give better flavor Ilike to use this vegan butter EarthBalance it’s really good if you’ve nevertried it it’s yummy stuff tastes justlike butter but what’s less guilt andthen we’ve got two and a quarter cups ofquick oats the recipe suggested to usepart quick oats and part rolled oats butall I have is the quick oats so we’regoing to use that we’re going to doabout two tablespoons of maple syrup therecipe calls for stevia but I don’t havethat and I would prefer maple syrupanyway I think it tastes better so we’reusing that one egg that’s beaten andthen in my little shot glass I’ve got ahalf a teaspoon or one teaspoon ofbaking powder and a quarter teaspoon ofkosher salt and then in here we have athird of a cup of chocolate chips I’musing dark chocolate chips and I thoughtit said a third third of a cup each ofthe shredded coconut and chopped almondsbut it was supposed to be a quarter cupof each so I’ve got too much of each ofthose so hopefully not will work outokay this recipe is vegan and glutenfree and it looks pretty easy we’re justgoing to throw it together real quickhold on while I move the camera okay sobasically we’re just going to addeverything inexcept for our almonds coconut andchocolate chips with our mashed bananaso here’s my butter and butter andcoconut oil which I did I melted in themicrowave for about 30 seconds to makeit easier to work with that our rolledfour quick oats our eggbaking powder and kosher salt the recipecalled for 15 drops of liquid stevia I’mgonna use 2 tablespoons of maple syrupit just seems like a good amount I’mjust guessing we’re gonna mix that allup just toys nice and corporated and itdoes look like it looks like oatmealcookie batter already probably shouldget a spoon I’m using the pork that Iused to mash thisyou just add your other ingredients itjust sounded to me like it just a yummyoatmeal another kind of open-air cookiesmaybe healthier it’s definitely full ofa lot of healthy fats and dark chocolatechips are good and I don’t it is calleda breakfast cookie I don’t know if Iwould eat it for breakfastseems more like a desert oh it’s analmond okay I saw something here dinnerbut it’s just an almond that didn’t getchopped up very much okay so then youjust form it into cookie cookie shapeand the recipe said it doesn’t reallyyou know when you make cookies you kindof put a blob of dough on it kind ofspreads out into a cookie shape therecipe says that whatever shape it goesin the oven is the shape that comes outso you want to make it into like acookie shape form it into acookie-like shapeyou know on our cookie sheetand then bake formy battery’s about to die okay I’m gonnawork on this and charge my phone soyou’re gonna bake for 15 minutes at 350so I’ll be back okay so I got um formedinto my cookie shapes and I made themkind of on the big side it looks likeit’ll probably make I have that muchleft to probably make just over a dozenat this size but you could definitelymake them smaller and probably make twodozen so the recipe calls for a 350 ovenbut I’m using convected so I’m going todo it at 325 because you usually lowerthe temp we’re gonna stick them in cookon per 15 minutes or so and see how theycome out so here’s what they look likefresh out of the oven they smell prettygood we’re gonna let these cool off andthen give them a taste test and I thinkjust for kicks I’m going to take therest of the batter that I have and formit into a bar and bake it that way andsee how it comes out all right we’refixing to try these cookies they’restill really hot but we’re both reallycurious to taste them I got my officialtaste tester right there they’re prettyhot don’t burn yourselfgood they’re good mm-hmm all right Iwant in on this see thishmmthey definitely need to step it up thereare good not real sweet you can taste abanana in there I could see if youwanted them sweeter you could add moremaple syrup they got that they’re notreal sweet so that would be then forbreakfast all right these are prettygood so I got this recipe from thechannel clean and delicious I’ll put alink to it in the description and youcan get the recipe and watch how shemade them so I’d give this two thumbs upthey’re not real sweet so if you’reexpecting like a cookie taste you mightbe disappointed but the human garbagedisposal gives it two thumbs up sothat’s a good sign so I did make therest of it in a bar shape and I think itwill work could cool it off and cut itup into squares I think that’d be aneasy way to take all the batter and cookit all at once spread it you know likeyou do with cookie dough where you makecookie bars I think you could do thatwith this as well so there you have ituntil
