Ingredients
· 1⅓ cup warm water
· 1 tbsp dry yeast
· 2 tbsp sugar
· 4 cups all purpose flour
· 1 ½ tsp sea salt

Method
Step 1: In a small bowl, add warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit for 5 minutes or until froth is formed and set aside.

Step 2: In a larger bowl, combine the flour and salt; make a well in the centre.

Step 3: Alternate some of the yeast mixture with the flour until all is incorporated and the dough is smooth and not sticky. Knead for 5 minutes to form a dough ball.

Step 4: Place the dough ball in a bowl that has been oiled and cover with saran wrap. Allow to double in size in a warm area.

Step 5: Punch the dough. Turn it onto a floured surface and divide it in half. Roll each half into a rectangle. Starting from the longer side, roll the dough into a cylinder, turning both ends in and pinching the seams closed.
*If using the shorter side (like we did), roll the log to make it longer *see at 2:08.

Step 6: Place the dough loaves on an oiled baking sheet and allow to double in size (again) in a warm area.

Step 7: Using a clean and unused razor, make three diagonal cuts/slashes across the top of each loaf. Add a sprinkle of cornmeal on top and in between each cut.

Step 8: Bake the bread at 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until crispy and golden.
