How To Make Homemade French Bread

2 Cups Warm Water
1 Tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
2.5 Teaspoons of Sugar
5-6 cups of flour
2.5 Teaspoons of salt
1 Teaspoon of Olive Oil

-Mix Warm water, yeast and sugar. Allow to sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
-Add 2 cups of flour and salt. Mix with a dough hook. Add 1/2 Cup of the remaining flour at a time until smooth but not sticky. Rub the olive oil around the ball and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
-Turn the dough onto a floured surface and cut in two. Roll each half into a rectangle and “pinch in” to a cylinder. Let rest for 45 minutes.
-Make slices across the top of the loaf, and than brush with egg wash (1 egg white and 1 teaspoon of water)
-Bake in preheated oven at 400 for 20 minutes.
-Brush Top with Melted Butter just before removing from oven.
