HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE BREAD IN 2 HOURS!

Just a large family enjoying each day at a time! Making bread is one of my favorite hobbies. It relieves stress, gives me purpose and feeds our tummies! Hope you enjoy this recipe.

White Bread

4 cups hot water
2 tbsp yeast
1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
1/2 C oil
3/4 C powdered milk
1 tbsp salt
10-12 C flour

Put 9 cups of flour in a mixer. In a blender add all the other ingredients, blend for 30 seconds. Add the liquid to the flour and knead. Slowly add additional flour until a nice dough forms (about 1-2 cups). Spray pans (5 normal size pans) Form dough into loaves and place in pans. Cover loaves and let rise until double (about an hour). Bake bread at 400 degrees for 10 minutes and then lower temperature (with bread still in oven) to 350 and bake an additional 12 minutes. Remove from oven and let bread rest for a few minutes before taking them out of their pan and resting on a cooling rack.

[Music]today I’m going to be making my favoritebread recipe and this recipe is sosimple you can make the whole recipe andit bakes up in under two hours which iswhy we love it as a family it’s mymother-in-law’s recipe that I have usedfor years and it makes five loaves ifyou’re using the regularlow size pan in the u.s. it makes fiveof these but I hope to make my bread inmy Polish pottery that we got when wewere in Poland this past summer andthese loans these pan sizes you can tellthey’re just a little bit different insize not too much for this still it’s areally great size and it’s perfect totake to neighbors and so I’m going to bemaking several of those by a pork normalsize spread both hands along one to manythese are the bread pants that I’m goingto be using today so instead of using anAmerican size one I’m going to be usingthese ones that I got in Poland and Ihave this long one it makes a long loafand then I have these mini ones sothat’s what I’m going to be using todayand the first thing I’m going to do isspray my pans with a nonstick canola oilspray[Music][Applause][Music]so to make my bread I use my gosh and Ibought this machine because you can putlike twelve cups of flour into it whichis what is required for this recipe andI know this whole recipe might work andI have this is the bread and mixer andthis is the attachment to scrape upanything off the side so these are theattachments that I use and the firstthing I do is I’m going to put nine cupsof flour into my boss[Music]okay the next step is I fill up myBlendtec blender with four cups of hotwater now the way I explain to peoplewhat type of hot water you want forbread to make the yeast activate is thatyou want to be able to put your handunder the hot water and it’s just enoughfrom the tap that it’s gonna make youwant to pull it out so nothing scaldinghot but you don’t want it lukewarm whereif you’re washing dishes your hands feelfine under there so it’s enough that itkind of gives you a Dean when you put itunder so this is four cups of water andto the four cups of water I am going tobe adding several different ingredientsto this hot water I’m going to be adding1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of oil andI have this recipe memorized because wemake it so frequently and we like tomake it at Christmastime we do it withjalapenos and cheese and we take it toall of our neighbors and this year wemade over 70 loaves of bread but that’show easy this recipe is and how quicklyit can bake up I also like to makesometimes these loaves into like acinnamon swirl bread or a cinnamonraisin bread so there’s all sorts ofcombinations that you can do on thistrip I’m adding 3/4 cup of dried milktwo tablespoons of each and I’ll writethis all out in notes 1 tablespoon ofsalt and 2xand then after I put all of myingredients in here I’m going to blendthis up and then pour it into my flourokay I just blended it up just for about30 seconds in my cleanser and I’m justgoing to dump it in the flour now theonly thing in here is flour all of myother ingredients this is where breadmaking can get tricky for some peoplebecause they don’t know the rightconsistency that they want the dough tocome out as and so I’m gonna show youwhat I do with mine and it’s really Idon’t have a formula for it and I can’ttell you exactly how many cups of flourI add to this mixture right here becauseit really varies it varies depending onthe weather outside or how hot it is inmy house just how your dough forms upand so that’s why I start with only ninecups of flour in here and I will showyou what it looks like nine cups offlour plus all that liquid this is whatit looks like right now and we’re gonnamake it so all of these sides aroundhere get scooped off with the flour asit’s mixing up so I’m gonna use a onecup of flour and just kind of slowly putit in and see where it puts me out[Music][Applause][Music][Music][Applause][Music][Applause][Music]so you can see how the bread has nowscraped and I scraped it at thebeginning with a spatula to get some ofthe edges off you can see how the breadcomes up and it scrapes the whole sideand my bowl when you look into it ispractically clean just from the doughmixing it around and that’s what you’regoing forit still is fairly it has a little bitof stick to it but not too much where Ican’t put it back now I’m going to letthis knead for about five minutes whileI start cleaning up my dishes[Music]okay once it has finished kneading I’mgonna take it off and pull the dough outand I actually like to spray mycountertop you can do it with flour youcould lay out flour but you don’t wantyour dough to stick to it but I justspray it it’s easy I feel like it’s aneasier clean up as well[Music]okay once I have my bread out of thebowl I just kind of needed a few timesget it into a nice shape I just love thefeel of fresh doughthere’s something very satisfying aboutstarting from the very beginning andmaking something delicious so I don’thave any rhyme or reason to how I cut mydough you can measure it if I’m using myAmerican baking pan the American sizewhen I know I have exactly five pans andsometimes I will measure it out on myscale and I’ll make five differentpieces so they’re all about the samesize but I’ve never had a problem justkind of cutting it and going with what Ineed so today I know I’m filling forkind of bigger cycles and then the longthat really long loaf pan and then tosmall ones so that’s what I’m gonna befilling today and I kind of have in mymind how I need to cut it[Music]so I cut that first big piece in halfand I’ve never taken the bread makingclass I’ve just kind of taught myselfalong the way but I do like to kind ofand then I’m going to place it in mybread loaf[Music][Music]okay so now that I have all of my breadpan filled I am going to cover them andI’m going to put them over on a quietershelf or countertop in my kitchen whereI know my kids won’t touch it if youleave it out like thisguaranteed little hands are going tofind it they’re gonna touch it and it’llpoke down the bread but this is the onlyrice that we do with this bread so wewant it to be a really good
