How To Bake Baguettes: The Challenger Bread Pan

In this video i’m going to show you some quick tips on how to make sourdough demi-baguettes in the Challenger Bread Pan. I comfortably fit two fat demi-baguettes in here. The result was extremely crunchy and well baked bread.

[Music][Music]yo yo you already know man what’shappeningI’m so happy right now to be a part ofthe challenge of bread we’re familyand so I’m gonna put together a littleseries for y’all with some of the bakesthat I’m about to be doing it now I’msuper excited to start using theChallenger bread pan I’ve been seeing ityou know so many successful bakes it isa beautiful marvelous piece of equipmentfor any home baker and like I said bigshout out to Lisa and Jim challenger andthe whole challenge of bread we’re teamso let’s get started for today’s episodewe’re gonna dosourdough Becket’s I really like thefact that this pan is shaped to whereyou can actually get a decent size alittle Demi baguette in there so we useyou know are you already know sourdoughbaguette recipe where that is I just didsomething on the ID TV thing on theInstagram so you can check that out thatwhole process so I’m not gonna get intothe dough making process I will show youthe shape that I like to do the size ofthe baguettes how to shape improve themand ultimately how to bake them in thatchallenge of bread pan soget it going you know saying alrightguys so check it out real quick the gearfor sure the bench knife is for me it’slike the the biggest surprise of hownice it is it’s bit it’s big it’s niceand it’s you know it’s a great sizegreat handle it’s got a great grip soI’m super super happy with receivingthat in addition to the bench knife gotthis super fire challenger broiler apronit’s got that cross back in action on ityou know and it feels amazing it’s youknow it’s very movable breathable youknow what I’m saying so make sure thatyou know you go in the description ofthe video I got the links there for youto cop that challenger bro we’re heremake sure your support and make surethat you’re geared up to make the besthomemade bread ever obviously theChallenger bread pan itself the thelegend is it’s already legendary man soI’m super happy about it we’re gonnashake 300 gram baguettes proof um andbake them into bread pan so the sizethat I’m gonna do is three on the gramsI think that’s gonna be kind of theperfect size to get a couple baguettesin there all right guys so for thebaguette shape I’m not gonna evenappreciate you know but do what you gotto do[Music]and here get me a nice seam and I’mgonna roll it right before I point theends you can see it’s roughly the sizeof the bench knife sothen I’ll get the ends a nice point youcan see my final baguette nice and fatin the middle a little a little bitlonger than that bench knife that’sgoing to be the size that you’re gonnawant to use for your challenge of breadwe’re pan so for the proofI’ve got who share on the sheet pan andI’m gonna just coat it with rice flour a[Music][Music]yo-yo after your baguettes are shapedwe’re gonna let them proof for a fewhours and I’m gonna throw thatChallenger bread pan into the oven withabout an hour to go on my proof IFM timeto bake the bread pan up in is at 500degrees and I’m going to put in thatChallenger pan to preheat the dough isprobably about an hour out I mean itlooks pretty good so let’s do it[Music]alright guys pens and out of the ovenput the lid back in there I’m going todust it lightly with semolina and my tipis to use the dough scraper to turn thebaguette out and flip it into the pan[Music]all right there’s baguette number oneto[Music]and get the lid back onand we’re gonna bake them for 15 minuteswith the lid on i Pam the first timerhas gone off and it is time to unveilour bake we’re gonna remove the lid ofthe Challenger bread pan and she wasgood[Music]the lid has been removed of theChallenger bread pan as you can see I’vegot my nice fat bags right here lookinglovely and now all that’s left for themis to get some color[Music]hi guys so I really hope that this washelpful for you to see quick little tipsof using Challenger Broadway bread panI’m super excited to like I said to bepart of the family let me know yourcomments questions make sure that you gointo the description check out all thegear and make sure you support Lisa andJim challenger who have been sophenomenal watching them grow thisbusiness and create this product forBaker’s like you and me want to be ahome and make super fire bread so let meknow this was helpful for you and seey’all next time
