How To Make Garlic Bread With Cheese
Garlic bread is the American cousin of a classic Italian preparation called bruschetta. In this video I show you my garlic bread recipe. Garlic bread is the ultimate staple food for your party buffets. Garlic bread can be served as a starter or as a classic accompaniment alongside any kind of soup. With this recipe, you will be able to make delicious, flavoursome and crunchy garlic bread in less than half an hour.
Ingredients:
Handful Parsley
5 Cloves of Garlic
50g Butter
50ml Olive Oil
1 Baguette
100g Cheese
Method:
1. Wash and finely chop the parsley
2. In a small bowl add the chopped parsley, crushed garlic cloves, butter and olive oil before mixing to incorporate all the ingredients
3. Slice a single baguette lengthways
4. Wrap a baking tray in foil and place the two halves on to the tray
5. Using a spoon, spread the mixture generously across the baguette
6. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top
7. Preheat the oven to 200°C (gas mark 6)
8. Put the tray into the oven and allow to cook for 5-10 minutes or until cheese is golden brown
9. Serve alongside your choice of pasta dish or soup and enjoy!
