Dutch Oven Bread

Hello! Today I will show you how to make Dutch Oven Bread. This recipe is so easy you won’t believe it! You will need a Dutch oven to make this of course. You may be able to bake it in a regular loaf pan but I have not tried that. If you try it please let me know!
This recipe I have adapted from Jovial Foods, the maker of the Einkorn flour I’m using. I changed it by adding the honey, adding a little more yeast, and sifting the flour. Their full recipe can be found here:

No-Knead Overnight Artisan Loaf

Here is my adaptation of the recipe:
2 cups warm water
1 TBSP honey
1 tsp. dry active yeast
1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
6 cups Einkorn flour, sifted

hey everybody welcome back I hope you’re
having a great day I definitely am
because I’m gonna be making bread this
is a no need overnight
artisan loaf I’m going to be using
einkorn flour which is actually the only
wheat that’s never been hybridized so
your body is able to digest it better
I have gluten sensitivities and I don’t
have any problems with this so if you
have problems with bread of like a tummy
ache after you eat it try this and see
if you can digest it better so right
here I have two cups of warm water 1
teaspoon of yeast 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of
sea salt I’ve got my iron corn flour
we’re gonna be using 6 cups and I’ve got
some honey Bowl
sifter and measuring cup so first things
first let’s add a little bit of honey to
this warm water
a nice stir
I like to sift the flour before you
don’t have to I’ve done it without
sifting it I just think it tends to turn
out a little bit lighter and fluffier
so there’s first cup try not to lose
okay so there is a little bit left in
there it’s not quite the whole bag
and give that a stir
incorporate all this salt now add the
yeast and water mixture probably is your
more dominant hand to stir
we’re gonna try to incorporate this a
little bit better on the counter
okay that looks good hey Messi
bread-making is pretty messy but it’s
worth it in the end
it doesn’t look Brett right alright I’m
gonna go wash my hands now what you’re
going to want to do is cover this with
some plastic wrap
now cover this with a towel
now we’re gonna let this sit on the
counter for overnight I think if I did
the math right by the time I take it out
and knead it and put it into the Dutch
oven it’s gonna be about 15 hours so you
can do anywhere from 10 to 15 I’ve heard
of people doing 24 hours and it’s fine
too so I’m gonna just set this on the
counter and I’ll be back in the morning
to show you the next steps it is now the
morning you can see how much
all right so first thing you’re gonna
want to do is get your Dutch oven and
preheat your oven to 500 degrees and put
your Dutch oven in the oven with the lid
on and let that preheat oven is gonna
get nice and hot and we’re gonna bake
the bread inside the Dutch oven get a
colander and get a flour sack towel
something that is like a hundred percent
cotton place that inside the colander
now take some flour and put that inside
colander on the towel
and just spread that around the bottom
make sure there’s no big clumps put some
flour on your work surface actually grab
a spatula like this
a little bit of flour on the top and I
need this just a little bit
the thing with einkorn flowers doesn’t
really like to be kneaded very much can
get kind of tough so we’re just gonna
smooth out that top and we’re kind of
rolling it while tucking the bottom
under with this part of our hand create
a nice
we don’t want that sticking to the towel
going to place the dough the seam side
up into the colander and see that’s for
the the seam is we just want that that’s
actually gonna turn out to be the bottom
of the loaf
and now we’re gonna let this rise for
about 30 minutes just on the counter
okay the oven is now to 500 degrees I’m
gonna take out the Dutch oven now lower
your oven temperature to 450
okay so Dutch oven is really hot so be
and very carefully we’re going to be
putting the dough into the Dutch oven
I’m gonna put on my oven mitts again for
give it a little shake too
Center it a little bit better put the
lid back on now we’re going to bake this
for 40 minutes in the oven and now it is
at 450
okay it’s been 40 minutes we’re gonna
take a look the bread oh wow look at
that bones great it smells so good too
so now it’s a cooling rack top one just
let that sit uncovered for a few minutes
and then we’re going to pop it out and
put it on to the cooling tray it’s so
there you have it guys no need I in corn
artisan Dutch oven bread go ahead and
let this cool for it says to let it cool
for two hours I’ve let it cold for one
hour and it’s fine
sometimes I can’t wait two hours to dig
into this use a serrated bread knife to
cut it that’s the easiest thing to do or
if you have an electric bread knife that
works even better so yeah so that’s how
you make bread you guys it’s probably
the easiest Freddie can make if you make
this recipe let me know I think you can
make it with regular flour too and hope
you guys enjoyed this video please like

next time
