hello it’s me Robin with simple foodsimple life today we’re going to makesomething that is so easy so simple andreally really good over Thanksgiving Ihad companyand there was some beer left at my housein the small refrigerator downstairs andso I thought you know what I’m going touse a can of that beer to make some beerbread it’s really easy really simple Ithink you’re gonna like itand don’t worry because I’ll put therecipe in the description box below somake sure you go to that and you canhave that recipe for yourself okay whatI have here I have a this is my castiron loaf pan but you can use any loafpan that you have or if you don’t wantto use a loaf pan you can use round panyou can make the loaf round it reallydoesn’t matter anyway I sprayed thiswith some spray oil so it doesn’t stickI’ve got three cups of all-purpose flournowjust in case you’re wondering I misspokewhen I said I used all-purpose flour Iwas using self-rising flour and in therecipe in the description box it willtell you what to do if you are usingall-purpose flour so the crazy old ladygot confused okay um let’s go on withthis so we can see how the beer bread ismade for heaven sakes I’ll tell you howto get around that if you don’t haveall-purpose flour that’s fine and I have1/4 cup of sugar now do you know that1/4 cup is the equivalent of 4tablespoons yes it is so it’s not handyto know and I have some melted butterhere it’s just a quarter cup which isactually a half a stick of butter and Iwill show you how to do that what we’regonna do with that so I’m just going tosift this flour here along with thesugar now then if you don’t have thisself-rising flour can’t think for aminute what it’s calledif you don’t have that that’s fine don’tworry about it all you will need to addto your all-purpose flour is threeteaspoons of baking powder and you willneed to add 1 teaspoon of salt if youhave the one if you have a self risingflour you don’t need any of that you canskip the baking powder and skip the saltbut like I said I would put that in thedescription box for you now then thisbread is very easy it takes four so afew ingredients and honestly I think youwill really really like it if you don’tdrink beer you don’t have I don’tpersonally I don’t drink beer but if youdon’t have any I don’t know borrow somefrom your neighbor go to your friend andsave meand a beard now you’re gonna need onecan of beer 12 ounce can or you’re goingto need one bottle bounce bottle okayand use any beer you like it does notreally excuse meit really doesn’t matter what kind ofbeer you have this is just this beerhereand honestly I really don’t know beersthat much but whatever any beer if youuse a dark beer it will cause your breadto take on like a Oh a wheat look okayI’m be a darker color not that much butit will be a darker color so all I’mgoing to do I’ve got this if didn’tsifting is my personal preference youdon’t have to do it if you don’t want tobut that’s just what I like to do andthen you just pour your beer into yourflour and sugar and whatever else youhave put into your flour now then if youdon’t if you if you don’t if you don’twant it plain you can add some shreddedcheese to your batteryou can add Italian seasoning you canadd some garlic you can just addwhatever you like it’s entirely up toyou but you’re gonna add a shreddedcheese I would add it to the dry mixturebefore you add your liquid and I wouldadd any seasonings that you’re going toput in I would put them in well the mixis dry okay you can put onions add someonions to it that’s fineand we’ve preheated our oven to 375degrees I’m gonna put this in the middlerack now this should bake for rightaround for a loaf mmm it should bake forright around 50 to 60 minutes but keepan eye on it and you know it’s done whena toothpick in the center comes outclean and skewer or knife that works tooor honestly just by touch if it feelsfirm that’s pretty good so and you’reprobably there okay all right so this iswhat ourbeer bit-error beer bread dough lookslike that was a mouthful all right ifyou smell it it almost smells a littlebit yeasty like yeast breath so here wego we’re gonna put this in our loaf panand get it pressed down there this isquite thick okay so all right now I betyou wonder what we’re gonna do with thisbutter Paulare you wondering okay let me show youwhat we’re going to do with the butterwe’re going to pour the quarter cup ofmelted butter over the top of the breadjust like it is now here’s the reasonwhy we’re doing this is because it willmake a crispy crust for your beer beerbread if you don’t want a crispy crustthen you can add this quarter cup to thedry mix when you add your beer okay andthen your crust will be soft and thenyour bread will be kind of buttery andmore tender also okay so here we go thisis just you know warm so I’m going topour this over the top and then we’regoing to pop this in the oven for 50 to60 minutes I know it looks dangerousdoesn’t it looks a little messy butanyway in the meantime like subscribeand share and do you believe it we’realmost at 10,000 that’s awesomeit really is I’m amazed and it’s allbecause of you you’re the ones who makethis channel alright in we go we’regonna come back when it’s done and I’llshow you what we’ve gotaren’t you excited well I’m excitedokay be right back well you know in abit okaythe bread is done and hear it now listenwhen this is baking it actually has thatyeasty smell that when you make yeastbread it has that same smell so it’svery very enjoyable now then I’m I’vetaken it out this took exactly 15minutes 50 minutes excuse me and I’vegot it sitting on the wire rack I’mgoing to let it sit in the pan for aboutfive minutes or so and then I will turnit out on the rack and we will see whatwe have I think you’re going to like itnow hear that that’s a top is a bitcrunchy and that’s what we were lookingfor with the butter that we poured onokay we’ll be back and we’ll turn it outand see what we have okayit’s sat in the pan for five minutes solet’s see if I can turn this out of mycast-iron loaf pan so okay let’s seewhat we can do here I’m gonna see if Ican take this out I usually have greatsuccess oh I have a great successgetting bread out of this pan this ishot still very hot so here’s the here’sthe the beer bread now remember I didmake a boo-booand I said I used two all-purpose flourI did not I used self-rising flour so Idid correct that in this video so justso you know I kind of was a little crazythere so all right so here it is itsmells really good it smells like freshbaked bread it’s got that nice crispytop honestly I don’t want to cut it justyet I think we’re gonna have let it sitfor a few more minutesthen we’ll come back and what kind ofslice and I will show you what thatlooks like okay all right I’m notmeaning to drag this out but I just Ijust it’s very very hot and I don’t wantto cut into it right now and ruin thebread because I think it has to sit andcool off for a little bit okay all rightso we’ll be right backwell in a few minutes all right we’regoing to cut it so actually I’ve let itsit here for about ten minutes so let’scut off a nice piece here hear howcrispy and crunchy that crust is it’seven crunchy on the bottom it’s crispyso let’s see what we got oh wow look atthat I’ll bring it closer so you can seeit see there isn’t that what they say ithas a nice crumb and this smells so muchlike fresh-baked bread that you makewith yeast it really does it smells soso so good now listen if you want to trymaking this with 1. For anyone else in the UK wanting to try this, you need around 354ml of beer, do NOT use a standard UK size can as our cans are bigger. 375 is 190c or gas mark 5. I can’t wait to try it and see if it works using gluten-free flour as I really miss the smell of proper bread.
